I cannot add any friend...:( can anybody help me?

hi, I'm a newbie here.
I started the diet with my fitness pal app, and it really is helping me.

the problem is, I cannot add any friend! I don't know why, but it's not working.
I tried with username and E-mail adress, both on app and web page.
however, none of my freinds got my request messages and vice versa.

I really want to connect with someone else to help each other.
can anybody tell me the exact way to add a friend?

    Hi I'm a newbie too! And I had the same difficulty adding friends, however I can add them from my app on my phone with just their user name. Weird!

    If you are on the message board and you click on someones name and go to their home page there is a place where you can click to add them as a friend. I hope it works for you.

    if you are using just the App it is hard cos you will need the persons username and email. if you go on the PC site, its loads easier just clicking on peoples name and the option is just there
