Always happy to have new friends on here. I’m particularly keen to have friends who have a lot to lose 😁

I'm back here again, lots to lose and in need of some similarly motivated people. Please add me :)

I have well over 100 to lose and would love more friends who are in the same boat :)

I'm happy for anyone to add me. I'm looking for new friends, especially those who are looking to lose a lot

Hi, I have a lot to lose, it's been an ongoing struggle with me feeling worse and worse about myself. I've joined a gym and am really enjoying going (although haven't been this week as I'm not well). It's hard to see how much I have to lose, it feels overwhelming. I would like some new friends on here who can inspire me,…

I had blood tests a couple of weeks ago and everything was normal. I'm drinking at least 1 to 1.5 litres of water a day aside from other fluids in hot drinks etc

I'm 33 and looking to lose a lot, I have a busy lifestyle and struggle to accurately log weights/portions. I'm looking for similar people to help and help me on this long path...add me if you like :)

I've been around here for a little while, losing a stone then putting it back on. I'm a single mum working two jobs in a high stress environment - perfect for reaching for lots of high cal quick option food. My downside is eating rather than dealing with things going on in my life. I want to start losing weight steadily. I…

Anyone?

It needs to be cheaper than £150 in an ideal world but I can save!
-
Excellent, guess I had better start looking at which bike I can afford and would be best!

I also have osteoarthritis in my knees, degenerative disc disease in my lower back and hypermobility which can cause pain etc in most of my joints. I'm 31. I'm trying to lose weight with slow success but do struggle. If I go out for walks for too long I really suffer with pain. I try to go swimming with my daughter (age 5)…

Sounds a lot like me too, anyone can feel free to add me and we will make progress together!

Thanks for your replies. I guess people know I'm on here because I eat too much so it shouldn't be a suprise! At least I'm trying to do something positive about it and suggestions about lower calorie alternatives would be welcomed.

It was a shop bought icecream, just trying to estimate
-
That's a good idea and I may well use it, makes good sense thanks. I just find it gets to me and when I start doubting myself I fail.
-
I use striiv and have found it to be an excellent tool and motivator.
-
Thanks for all the links, does come up a lot then! Responses vary though
-
I log it all so I'm aware of what I'm eating but don't beat myself up about it. Other days I'm 300 roughly calories under my goal so if I eat more one day then it evens out.
-
When people say if you are young then your skin will bounce back how old is young?!
-
I just wondered, I don't log much other than the steps I walk but I'm sure some people log absolutely everything :)
-
I generally end up doing some laps, some swimming with her on my back and some random splashing!
-
Any ideas anyone?
-
I am sedentary level on MFP but you striiv and it links your steps and calories burnt to your mfp. So if I burn 200 calories walking then striiv will update mfp and I can if I want eat 200 cals more x

Anyone feel free to add me, particularly keen if you have a lot to lose like I do :)
-
Thanks everyone. Sometimes with a roast or similar I do break it down into the different parts and add them that way but for meals like pasta I struggle as the portions vary and I am terrible at gauging amounts.
-
I'm UK based. I struggle a little putting some UK meals in. Shame more chains don't have easy to add calorie amounts.
-
I am and am making progress but it is only a recent thing. I'm making small steps and I do hope to come of the tablets in the next 6 months.
-
Surely that would just mean that if I exercised for longer at a slower pace then I would use up more calories than a short period exercising at a faster pace? I used more calories according to striiv even though I walked less and also for a shorter time?

I wondered about the heart rate but thought for an estimate then striiv would work on the basis of weight against steps and average it. I find striiv really motivating so hope it is roughly right.
