Seriously I'm alone on this one? Not one other person is wanting to go as something sexy for Halloween???

:) hahaha, ya I think the effect of that would surely make me jump out of the bed! :)

Thanks! I will look into one of those....because as hard as it is for me to get this done in the summer, I absolutely know it will be much harder in the winter because it is so dark in the morning.

Thanks! I appreciate the support nonetheless! :)

There are a number of programs. ACE and AFAA are most widely recognized, and you can do both of those through self-study and then taking the exam. If you have ever taken Zumba and like it, becoming a licensed a Zumba instructor is a much easier process, it's just a license to teach Zumba, but that doesn't make you a group…

WOW, truly truly AMAZING! One of the daytime tv shows needs to highlight your awesome accomplishment...they usually do weight loss segments at the start of the new year (NY resolutions, of course)...you should totally talk to the Today show or something for next January's segments :)

Awesome hair!

Hi all! New to the area (military member, just stationed at Ft Meade), but I've been with MFP for a while. Did awesome last year getting in shape but fell off the bandwagon. But now I'm back at it, trying to find my routine and get my toned arms back :) I will be buying a home in Severna Park in a couple weeks, so not…

I like all the comments above, but my most favorite thing about a man is if he can dance. Love me an excellent salsa, merengue, or cha-cha dancer. But oh my MFP pals, especially bachata. O.M.G. True, there are the not-so-great guys on the dance floor that can try to simply just be too grabby, but man oh man, if you get the…

I had that same problem with my husband! He was always saying he was too tired or stress...he did have a LONG commute and a stressful job, so finally I just came to think that this was just my situation and I'd have to learn to deal with it because I DO enjoy sex (some toys came in handy, lol). Five years into our…

WOW!! You look GREAT, awesome job! Tho you must share your secret as to how you dropped so much weight but managed to keep "the girls". Jealous! That seems to always be one of the first things to go, why not the thighs?!?! :)
-
Thank you! You are absolutely right tho, I did gain muscle. In fact, I recall doing a workout session in the gym (vice my living room where I usually do P90X) about 2 months ago and I saw my arms as I was doing weights and thought to myself, "those are MY arms?!?!?!" :)

AAAAAAAAAWESOME!!!! JUST AMAZING, SO PROUD AND HAPPY FOR YOU! And I most love that you stressed how it was a LIFESTYLE change, not a quick fix of some sort. YOU GO GIRL!!!!

Great job momma, you look great!

FANTASTIC JOB!! CONGRATS TO YOU!!!

WOW WOW, WOW WOW WOW!!! I just really don't have the words. Simply AMAZING! And I LOOOVE that you were aware of (and mentioned in your post) that you wanted to do it naturally because you knew that no surgery would help if it what was really bothering you wasn't addressed. Love that--so many try to take the "easy" way out.…

feel free to add me as a friend! I love fitness AND I am in the Air Force too (15years this Jan) so I'd be happy to be a sounding board for you on that as you begin that journey. Good luck to you!

I just went home for a visit after not being there for 13 months (I am in the military, stationed on opposite coast from family), and I did feel treated differently. Some people supportive but got vibe from others that they were jealous/insecure/etc. The worst was my dad though, who walked past me as I was trying to…

That seems pretty high, but again, it is very much going to fluctuate based on your height/weight, intensity, etc.

Oh yes, good mention about water breaks, I didn't think of that...I do not do water breaks in my class either, just grap a sip of water between songs.

Hello! I have no idea what vipr is but I can speak to Zumba (I've been instructing for 3yrs)....I wear a HRM and average 400-425 cal per hour, so 5/6 of that (50min of 60) would be 333-354. I am 5'5, weigh 133lbs (I give that info for frame of reference, because of course a person's build greatly affects number of cal…

Thank all!!

I personally would go with the more conservative reading so I didn't overeat. And after having tried two different HRMs this month and getting VERY different readings, I'm convinced that they are not 100% perfect all of the time.

GREAT JOB!
