  • Ive just had a three and a bit week break due to having a virus followed by a ten day holiday. Before the break I had managed to get up to week 8 and was running 25mins. Started back last night and have planned to do 20mins/22mins/24mins this week, then next week try to do 26mins/28mins/30mins. Once Ive cracked running for…
  • You'll do it! Ive never been so determined to do something. Really see this as a person challenge. I was counting upwards when looking at my times but this week when doing the 25 min run I counted down. So, after 5mins I was thinking 'right, 20 mins to go, then before I knew it it was 15mins and so on. Really helped me…
  • We live and learn I suppose Yamsteroo x
  • Well done - it's a great feeling. If we are all around the same stage, we should keep this post going to motivate each other through the remaining weeks. We can have an online graduation party at the end!
  • Nickeecoco - I was the same. Im doing it on the treadmill but as soon as Id done the 20min run I wanted to run out in the street and tell anyone and everyone! May have a banner done for the front of the house in readiness for my C25K graduation day! lol
  • Go into it with a positive attitude 'I will do this' and you will. I still cant believe it that Ive come this far!
  • You look amazing and shows what hard work and determination can achieve. Did you just use MFP to track calories or did you also exercise? If so, what did you do?
  • Thanks guys - if someone had said before I started this that I would get this far and be running for that long I certainly wouldn't have believed it.
  • Well done - your motivation and dedication has paid off. I cant wait till I can say the same. x
  • Bit off schedule this week. Normally run Mon, Wed, Fri but ended up running Wed, and today with 3rd session still to get in this week. Have just done Week 5, Day 2 and am so pleased with myself. I am loving this C25K programme. I am doing it on the treadmill and at the beginning I would have really struggled doing 30…
  • Well done - motivates me to keep going!
  • Thanks all for your comments / suggestions. Will have a look at eating back exercise calories and look into the TTDE also
  • Will stick with the one im doing which is based on time primarily. Anything that's got me running for 5mins solid when I couldn't even do 30 seconds before has my vote
  • Me too. Which version are you doing?
  • Im in week 4 and doing it on a treadmill. I walk at 3.6-3.8 and run at 4.4-4.6
  • Well done. Cant wait till I can say the same xx
  • Did Week 3 last week and treadmill broke 24mins into Day 1, we thought we'd fixed it but it gave up again 11 mins into Day 2 so I just kept moving then legged it out the door and along quite a main road for the remainder. Really cant get to grips with running outside yet and can focus a lot more when on treadmill. Missed…
  • Did Week 2 Day 3 today. Done all sessions on treadmill up till now. Actually did today's session outside on a forest path and it was perfectly timed for me to do whole path and be back at car-park at end of cool-down. Weather was really hot in the UK today so was out at 8am but it was already hot. I take my hat off to…
  • Wow - this is inspirational! x:happy:
  • You must have fixed it cos its now saying 5lb lost
  • I hope so. Ive just started the C25K on the treadmill and have done Session 2 today. Like you I have never been a runner in any shape or form. However, hubby started running in January and did great with this but he is annoyingly generally fit and not overweight. He ended up having to take supplements not to lose weight! I…
