Well my upper-body strength sucks.. but I use 3lb ones from Walmart (they're soft, so nice to use) and 5lb normal type ones. Just depends on what move it is. The 3's feel like nothing, then I use the 5.

I'm not sure I have much advice for you, but I do want to say I know what you're going through.. I've been there. Was very depressed for a while.. not sure what got me out of my funk other than life seemed to start going better? I also am currently on depo and have heard it can affect your calcium levels. I HATE taking…

I started out without shoes and then put them on about halfway through lvl 1. Made it so much better. Just my plain old $25 sneakers.. ahhh.. lot better for jumping. The only thing was the butt-kicks weren't as easy for me, but eh.. I'd go for shoes! :)
