Not a great idea as you loss too much muscle mass as well as fat

Please add me. From Southampton

As you say, it has only been a week. You could be feeling less bloated. In short, no you can't lose weight without losing weight but you can change shape without losing weight. Log accurately and weight will come off

Your mum is awesome. I love the idea of an honest mum doing the right thing
-
I was on Pred for 18 months and ballooned. It isn't just water weight. It is more than just making you feel hungry. But after you come off it then you should be able to lose the weight again

I love the comment earlier that you can read the fat content on the label. That is great if you believe pigs are grown to a tight spec. Use your eyes and you will see variation in fat %. I don't go for very days cuts (streaky) but I do go for back bacon and trim the fat. But I could never be a Muslim with my love of bacon

Eat less, move more
-
I love the party line that others have written but the truth is that it is very difficult to know precisely how much fat is in bacon. Personally I love it and eat bacon often but I now go for leaner bacon and I cut off obvious fat. Eating fat is fine if you can count it but it can be difficult. Fried eggs are great too but…

Randy Newman wrote "Short People" in case any one is interested and it is a very funny song

How do you calculate calories burned? IMHO mfp is poor for exercise calories.. Strava is better but I think it is still overestimating

Guns are not the answer. Geez. you guys are crazy if you think they are

Feel free to add me

If you are doing serious distances then you need the fuel before, during and after. Esp important to get protein after for muscle recovery. MFP is crap for estimated of calories. I use Strava which estimates a much smaller amount than MFP and o worry that is too high as well
-
How do you justify that star a is less accurate than connect? Strata is frequently a lower calorie number for me than Garmin connect
-
Bmi 21. You are normal weight. I have skimmed some of the other posts. If anything try some weight training.

Mmmmm Stilton

Wales Lavabread ( a gloopy green seaweed) fried in bacon fat with cockles (little clams) fried in bacon fat and thick bacon (where the fat came from) for breakfast. Mmmmm Can't readily get in England

When you meet people who never knew the "Fat" version then they assume you don't have to worry about what you eat and that you are blessed with a high metabolism
-
totally agree

LoL. You have to laugh because it you don't...

I weigh raw and also by difference. So obviously a piece of ham is easy to weigh. Just put it on the scales. but if say I had some peanut butter, I frequently put the jar on the scales, zero it and then take out what I want. The digital scales read the value I have used. This saves getting another dish dirty.

I remember feeling the same. 2 years on and am training for my first half marathon. Keep it up. P.s. Week 5 of c25k was the worst
-
Also stuck in plateau just above bmi 25

I now wear vests

I have been on mfp for over two years. I don't do cheat days. I sometimes go over and sometimes under. I concentrate on trying to ensure I am always under for the week. There are always going to be celebrations, family events etc but take them in your stride and move on. Generally a fixed calorie target per day is best…

Two and half years but current streak is 370 days

My scales

I was on Pred for a large part of a year. I put on 1.5 to 2 stone. If you are on a short sharp course then I would suggest you don't worry about it. If on for long term then just maintaining weight will be an achievement. You have more important stuff to worry about than weight loss

mine is open
