Agreeing with this. It is only since I had to stop eating both, in order to manage a painful health condition, that I have struggled with low weight, personally.

I do drink milk but know many who don't consume any dairy because it causes inflammation, which can be a big problem for those with certain medical conditions. I try to limit dairy for this reason, but I allow myself a little.

Excellent work! I am 5'5" and 95 pounds, but I have a hard time eating to or over 2,000 calories, partially because of extreme dietary restrictions (due to a health condition) and partially because of how my stomach feels when I do manage to eat that much. All this to say: I know it isn't easy! Kudos to you!

I am on an extremely restrictive diet due to interstitial cystitis, and since rice is one of the few things I can tolerate, I eat it all the time. I cannot tolerate mist sauces, but when I enjoy it with my family we add just a little butter and salt. I sometimes also make a one pan chicken broccoli rice dish that uses…

I have been counting calories but can't afford a gym membership at the moment. I have the added challenge of an extremely restrictive diet, due to a medical condition. I do okay the more I am home, but when I am busy I find it hard to gain. I gained a little over Christmas, but then I lost it all again when hockey…

I am, but just like with weight loss, a little extra motivation never hurt, plus it's just nice to see. :)

Actually, I think SOME people mean it as a compliment... not all, for sure, but some. I got it a lot while I was losing weight but still at a healthy weight. Now that my weight really is too low, I don't get those comments. I wonder if they realize now that, since it is actually true, they might offend me or something...…

I was always particularly warm as a child, but I grew up on the heavy side. I lost a bunch of weight (67 pounds; 175 down to 108 at the low end, maintaining around 110-120) in high school and became cold all the time... not just cold, but shivering/shaking/extremely cold. I stayed thin for a whole bunch of years, and my…

I sent you a friend request. Your success so far is very inspiring, and I admire your inspirations, particularly 2 Corinthians 6:16!

Maybe I shouldn't be replying since I'm a bit taller (somewhere between 5'4" and 5'5"... I like to think higher end, but I'm probably wrong!), but I do share some of the same struggles because my weight is very low. (100 pounds) I am torn between maintaining and gaining, but due to a health condition my diet is extremely…

I am 5'5" or maybe 5'4.5" and currently weigh 105 pounds.... I lost more than intended but have been battling a health condition that requires a very restrictive diet and now eat mostly low calorie foods. Years ago I was happy between 112-118, so that was my original goal. I have been tring to maintain since I reached it,…

You may add me if you like. I am also seeking a few friends on maintenance, especially with similar goals, but anyone on maintenance. I am 34 years old and 5'4.5" or 5'5". I weigh 112, down from 202. I lead a busy lifestyle with three kids but don't "work out" in the traditional sense. I do walk, hike, snowshoe, ice skate,…

I also agree with others not to worry about a one pound gain. Our weight naturally fluctuates all the time. :)

I am 34 and 5' 4.5" or so, and I weigh 112. I am still trying to figure out my maintenance calories, but they seem to be right around 1400-1500. I always gain with menstruation (just a pound or two) and feel like I have to cut back a bit, but typically if I do I just end up a little lower than before, once everything…

5'5" (or maybe 5'4.5", according to my last checkup... I prefer to go with the former. LOL) and 113 lbs this morning. Remember we are all built differently. I am relatively comfortable where I am, but I am only a couple of pounds from being underweight and trying to avoid that. This is almost too thin... definitely too…

I have only skimmed through the responses, but I have always had a tendency toward (somewhat extreme) sugar addiction (at least in my own mind), so I'll offer my experience. Keep in mind, of course, that what is right for one person certainly might not be right for another... So... I have tried going cold turkey, but some…

Welcome! You can do it! I started out with 84 to lose, and I will tell you that having short term goals has really helped to keep me motivated, whether it was 5 pounds per month or a certain weight before a special event... Personally, I have to have a deadline or I tend to slack, although I can't see myself stopping now.…

This! :)

Hey, we're in the same boat! I've lost 8 in roughly the same amount of time, and we have similar long term goals. I have actually lost 15 total, but the first 7 came off over a couple of very sick days with a horrible stomach virus, and I started tracking after that. Doesn't feel so much better already though? Pretty soon…
