  • I'm a 18/16. I'm moving towards a 16 and away from18 since I started. Sometimes it feels overwhelming, but I think of it as one decision at a time. I've had some bad days as you can see in my diary, but each day is a new one. Feel free to add me if you;d like. I'm on every day, and my diary is public. We got this!!!!!…
  • I just want to say that A) I'm sorry you're sister is being such a jerk about your decision to get healthy. B) I'm sorry you have to wear that dress...bleh. How is that dress going to show cleavage  The only thing with buying it now, and altering it in a year is that sometimes dresses can only be downsized so much. 13…
  • a tankini top, and board short bottoms are super cute. Target has some cute ones on clearance.
  • I use powdered pb in overnight oatmeal. I've had it reconstituted with water on a wrap with a banana, and it was pretty good. It will NOT taste like regular peanut butter, but for me it's got enough to satisfy my pb cravings, and not blow my calories out of the water. amazon.com will deliver it to your doorstep.
  • Well it's Wednesday.....If that isn't reason enough.....
  • I don;t want to be the fat sister....i want to be the hot one
  • Mine went down quite a bit, but I spend $30 - $40 a week for one person. I used to just wander through the store and throw anything in the cart that looked good whether or not I would eat it that week. Now I rarely buy meat (didn't buy much of it before), and only shop based on the recipe(s) I'm making for the week. I…
  • I love to bake, and I love eating what I bake. Luckily I found some good low cal alternatives which have been pretty good so far. Feel free to add me if you're looking for some motivation.
  • Chewing gum while I cook, helps me from taste testing everything

  • a venti caramel ribbon frappuccino has 680 calories per their site. Frappuccinos are a diet KILLER, however a grande mocha frappuccino light only has 130 cal. I work my starbucks into my calorie allotment. :drinker:
  • Love this idea! I had a coworker who was a CONSTANT one upper, and put down others efforts. When iI finally "challenged" him he quickly made excuses and stopped....at least around me.
  • You might lose some fat in your breasts, but I wouldn't expect them to go down too drastically. Everyone is different, but If your breasts are more tissue than fat, then unfortunately the only option is a breast reduction.
  • I'm not vegetarian, but I don't eat meat very often. I get a lot of my recipes from myrecipes.com. I made portabello and black bean quesadillas last night that were DELICIOUS! http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/portobello-black-bean-quesadilla-50400000117311/
  • Weight them at the store using their scales before you buy them.
  • Not to be harsh, but you pretty much just said you have a problem. Being someone who has lived with several functioning alcoholics, it's not just having to drink every day, but not being able to stop once you start. Also the fact that you are sacrificing food for alcohol to stay within your calorie goals is a huge red…
  • I log anything that it is out of the norm for me. Go up and down 2 flights of stairs several times a day is something I did before I started MFP, so i don't log it. I will log my after dinner walk, my weights while watching TV, etc. If I'm not expressly doing it as exercise, then I won't count it. I never count laundry,…
  • i used to be the same way. I would always procrastinate cleaning until I couldn't stand it or I had people coming over. I'm not sure what finally snapped in my mind. I would say give yourself small goals to start making it a habit. When i make dinner I no longer allow myself to let the dishes "soak" overnight and the next…

  • Wow!! Everyone is different. It's a POSSIBLE side effect. I was on Depo for many years, and I lost alot of weight while I was on it, and I gain weight on it, then I'd lose again. My problem was me, not the BC. To the OP: Talk to your doctor if you're concerned, and maybe look into another option.

  • I'm sure she doesn't understand, and I would suggest sitting down and talking with her. She probably uses food as a way to show love so when your daughter wants junk she wants to give it to her. I went through a similar issue with my ex mother in law. I tried talking and it didn't work. I finally just explained to my son…
  • My sister had 3 kids, and my cousin 4 following this method..... Unless your cycle runs like clock work this method is nowhere near 99% effective...I believe the last stats i saw were more like 70%. Stress, diet, etc all can affect your cycle on a monthly basis throwing off your calculations and putting you at risk for…

  • I've struggled with my weight for years also. I gain and lose, gain and lose. I get so angry when the weight creeps back on, decide I'm fine being a larger woman, then get fed up and go through the dieting process. I reached my heaviest, and the straw that broke the camels back was not being able to tie my shoes. I'm hoping…
