  • Turns out "my kid" was a reference to my baby goat - she curried it.
  • I'll see your Krull and your Hawk the Slayer (brilliant films!) and raise you one Beastmaster.
  • Still, sounds like an awesome concert. Not jealous at all. I got a Trent Reznor album a short while ago thinking "Oooh! Nice! This is gonna rock!" right up to the bit where I realised I'd gone trigger happy and bought the soundtrack to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. DOH! Very atmospheric, moody and good for background…
  • I am SO making this! Burger... Mac & Cheese... inna Bun! Hell yes!
  • LOL, Yes, we do come across like that sometimes - it's just our funny accent, we even write like it old bean  OK, as a Brit (and on behalf of my American fiancée, who loves our food as much as I love American foods) lets try a Brit List of: Roast Beef, Roast King Edwards, Yorkshire Pudding, Selection of fresh veg…
  • Amazon will now give an MP3 copy of any CD album you buy which can be downloaded direct to your phone on WiFi from the Amazon MP3 App, or via your PC. I also use my PC to rip cd's into MP3 format on WMP and copy to my phone - my 32Gb SD card holds my entire music collection with plenty of room to spare but it may be time…
  • My fiancee adores NIN! Can't say I like Red Hot CHilli Peppers that much, but Pearl Jam must've been pretty good. David Bowie? Now there's a show I'd love to see.
  • Summer XS, Wembley Stadium in 1991. Awesome day with the likes of Jellyfish, Deborah Harry and INXS who were incredible! Next best was Meat Loaf at Wembley Arena on the Welcome to the Neighbourhood tour.... Oh and of course, Wembley Arena, War of the Worlds conducted by Jeff Wayne....You know I've not been without a copy…
  • I love this track as both chillout and inspiration. They say many a true word is spoken in jest and I think this is one of those gems. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5giWfpANMac
  • Daft Punk this month whilst working out for me. Soundtrack to Tron Legacy and a live album of theirs (Alive). For cardio, anything around 120bpm works a treat as I can pound out that pace for ages - works amazing to military band quick marches on the treadmill or a high setting on the Elliptical! The Central Band of the…
  • I went cold turkey after having smoked intermittently since I was 14. Takes about 14 days to break the nicotine craving and even then it still comes back, but you've already done half the work by wanting to quit! Be strong, dont eat too much chocolate to curb the craving. You'll notice you can taste your food again and…
  • NERD AND PROUD! First learned about computers back in '81 (BBC Basic) moved onto Atari, Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Commodore Amiga, Sega Mega Drive, PS2 and now on XBox 360 loving Fable 3, CoD, Defense Grid etc. I love working out and lifting the heavy weights, but to maintain my Nerd Status, i diarise everything and run…
  • Good quote! Go Wash! Firefly forever!
  • 6'1" Goal: 195lbs Current: 217lbs I am working out and admittedly it's mass building as well as fat loss so it's likely if I get it right I'll not hit the 195lb mark but I'll still be lean as hell.
  • LOL! Make it a Phall and put the toilet paper in the fridge! Keema Naan, Bombay Potatoes and Tarka Dall on the side. Yum!
  • I make up a triple decker Reubens Sandwich when I want a real treat: 8 wafer thin cut slices of Pastrami (we can't get decent corned beef in the UK) Hot Sauerkraut Thousand Island Dressing melted, grated Emmenthal Cheese 3 slices of Rye Bread Layer the Pastrami, cheese, hot sauerkraut and dressing on slice of bread 1, add…
  • Light weight, lots of reps = smaller lean muscle made up of longer muscle fibres (extreme example - look at a marathon runner). Heavy weight low reps = larger lean muscle made of short muscle fibres (extreme example - look at a bodybuilder). Medium weight medium reps = a happy medium between endurance strength and…
  • A Daim Bar. Still crunching it as I type. Yum!
  • I always bend my knees, straight leg Deadlifts are ok under strict control but highly likely to cause injury with just a minor error. Go Bent Knee Deadlift as it works deep into your glutes for a better workout. Stack it with a deep Leg Press on a machine and if you can handle it, add in Squats for the ultimate butt…
  • I was advised to try goats milk to reduce the effects of asthma brought on by an allergy to cats and horses (growing up in a country pub with both in close proximity was interesting). I tried it - getting up at 6 am to go squeeze it fresh out of the goats - and you know what, I have no idea if I convinced myself into it…
  • Skimmed or semi skimmed goats milk for me. Grew up with freshly squeezed goats milk and love the stuff. Less reactive and better flavoured than cows milk IMHO.

  • Born in South London, travelled the world, now living in South Essex.
  • So you've been making steady progress since May 2012 despite the hurtful comments from co-workers and your Mom? I'd say you won already by not letting them beat you! Every day you don't let them beat you is another day you've beaten them! You're a lot stronger than you give yourself credit for. WELL DONE!
  • True - fat can't turn into muscle but a good diet and hard work grows the muscle that burns the fat, so go for it and shift those weights! Good luck.
  • Likewise! Awesome quote!
  • Grab a Bombay Spiced Potato mix and knock it up with sweet potatoes instead for a sweet/spicy flavor combo. Works every time for me and I use no fat of any kind to make it up. Onions, Sweet Potato, Tomatoes (tinned usually), Bombay Spice mix and chicken or vegetable stock. Feel free to chuck in other veg or even chicken…
  • Look for Bio Oil. It won't get rid of them but it apparently really reduces the appearance of them. Google it and check out the testimonies of those who've used it. If you're UK based, I know that Tesco have it in stock, otherwise Amazon will do the business for you.
  • Bat Gran - You're awesome! Keep up the brilliant work. MUCH respect
  • Theme tune from Firefly.
  • Nice use of Firefly and Jayne Cobb!
