Will do. Thank you

Thanks! I don't have the books yet but I plan to get them cuz reading off the internet is def not enough. I just wanted to get started off on the right foot starting today at the gym.
-
Thanks for the help. I always assumed that also because it seems like doing chest day on chest day makes sense. I just wanted some insight on whether or not that is the best thing to do. Thank you!

Can we be friends? I like that *kitten*! Lol
-
Add me. I follow iifym and lift weights 6 days a week. Not conventional but good to have people around doing things different ways to explore your options and see what works with your lifestyle best!

Eh, I'd rather be in a deficit than maintenance. Faster results will keep me from losing motivation. I'm in super motivation mode right now and I wanna stay there lol. I'm in a deficit right now and I'm cool with it, not having trouble at all. I usually end up with 100+ calories left over too which I think is because the…

 Haha, nice! Thanks!

Thanks so much!! I'm still going strong in the gym, tracking my diet, and hopefully being able to sleep will fall into place lol. I believe all of you guys. When I wrote this I was having a low moment and my family was really getting to me. I have come a lot further (I think) in these past few days with all of these kind,…

Thank you! I'm continuing and ignoring the family. I'm glad I'm on here now because the support from you guys really is amazing.

Guess its a mental, irrational thing. I see other people losing weight and building muscle with iifym and eating all of their carbs and I always think that could never be me. I guess its fear of failure. I'm working on it.
-
Thanks! Good luck to you as well!

Damn you go girl! I love hearing people's weights and how they are happy with themselves. The number on my scale makes me angry, I hope to be like you one day. Thanks for the inspiration
-
Thanks. I don't think I can order that on there and I tried to find it for the U.S. but can't. Looks good though!

Yeah I lift heavy 4 to 5 days a week so I guess you're right. I set my macros to 33% carbs, 28% fat, and 48% protein. Not sure if I'm doing it right. The lower carb amount allows me 149 grams a day which is do-able for me but so far I only have 42 grams left for today. I was thinking about the importance of eating my…

Thank you! I'm hoping to get back to that. Thats what I looked like while doing iifym and lifting heavy about a year and a half ago. Now my tummy has some extra bulk. GO FIGURE! lol

I can't find anything  It looks like they're not available anymore. :cold_sweat:
-
OMG going to look it up now! Thank you! How do you do skirts btw? For me they go up wayyy too high in the back. I am 5'8" so maybe thats why.
-
Next time my mother says something I'm using this
-
Who says so?
-
Omg i know! My difference is 13.5" and I'm just like screw pants I like leggings anyway. Just wish they were not see through. Has anyone found a magical jean brand that fits this body type?
-
You are a winnnnnnnnerrrrrr!!!!!!! thank you!!
-
But then my percentages wouldn't be ideal for power lifting. I want to build muscle and lose fat so I thought I was doing it right. Am i doing it wrongz?
-
I'm no expert at all so I'm welcome to hearing what your take is on this, but I thought if your goal is to lean out while power lifting, hitting your protein goal was most important and staying under your fats and carbs were just fine. If I'm wrong I would be very happy to be because that means more cereal
-
I figured if they could make protein bread there's gotta be some hope for a low carb cereal
-
Lol we'll have to just dream forever
-
Oh gosh. Gotta find her so we can eat all the cereals!!

Compound moves! Deadlifts (power and straight leg), squats (wide stance, narrow stance), lunges (forward and backwards). Choose 3 or 4 to do a day (3-4 days a week). 3 sets of each with 6-8 reps and the most weight you feel comfortable with. Your first rep (before the 3 with weights) should be warm up rep in which you…

^^ true dat. However, if you're uncomfortable posting here (which I find to be the most supporting place on the interwebz and lyfe in general) then you won't be comfortable in shorts in public.

I'm doing it for only a week now and have lost 4 pounds. It does really work, especially when you're tracking your macros! It is a fool-proof method of ensuring that you're in a deficit. Eyeballing it does NOT work.
