But isn't a HRM more accurate than just an online calculator?
-
That says 1,849.

A lot of things can add up to a weight gain. TOM? Sodium overload? Water Retention? Yes, muscle does weigh more than fat. If your body was not used to using those muscles it is going to build them up..causing a weight gain. Instead of getting down about the numbers, have you measured yourself? Do your clothes fit better?…
-
I've heard both. It is important to fuel your body for your workouts. Also, important to recoup lost nutrients/good stuff from your workout.

Water weight? Sodium overload? TOM? Building muscle? Normal fluctuations?

And another. (Hubby started his new job today) I got the kids up, fed, and out the door to school..and after MY breakfast I am going to the gym. (Normally hubby is here to watch the youngest 2 kids and give me that "go ahead" to go....I am doing it ALL on my own today! BIG thing for me!!

As directed by my self proclaimed fitness buff sister- I ate something small within a half hour of waking up (First time I've been able to accomplish this) to jump start my metabolism for the day!

Well, and I guess I took your first post as kind of back handed...kinda snide...Maybe it wasn't ment that way. All I was trying to say is...it can be done..healthy..

btw: I have a special section in my food tracker that is JUST for breastfeeding...I add it daily to my food log.
-
I did this. This lead to me being 300 pounds. NOT a good idea here. I am still breastfeeding my 9 month old and I am "dieting"...I have not had ANY problems with supply. You just have to be smart about it, and do your research.

Awesome!!!! Its been 13 months since I quit (for the 4th time) hopefully the last! It is soooooo worth it. ie: my sister who is a gym rat is in awesome shape....but smokes; cannot do near the cardio output that I can. Even though I am over 100 pounds heavier. It is a GREAT day!

I totally agree with this. I do the same thing (kicks/punches during the "watch my moves") Keep moving to keep your HR up.

I have recently incorporated Wii EA Sports Active 2 into my "workouts" (*I use workouts in " " because some people don't concider a Wii workout an actual workout*) But, I lost my first 40 pounds with the Wii Fit. I recently got a HRM and checked it against the calorie burn on the Wii Fit Plus, and it is pretty accurate.…

My now almost 3 year old son was diagnosed with a "heart mummer" at his 5 day check up. My doctor scheduled an appointment with a pediatric cardiologist. He was diagnosed at 2 months with a "Pulmonary Stinosis" which means-his pulmonary artery coming out of his heart is narrowed. We have had to have an EKG, Sedated EKG,…

Okay, thank you everyone! I figured it out!! I think I am going to keep it! Next question LOL Do you wear it "all the time" or do you only wear it during workouts? I don't know if you all are familiar with the EA Sports Active Wii game, but it has a heart rate monitor/sensor and tracks calories burned too. So I just did 2…
