  • Check out the Non-Dairy Evolution cookbook if you want to make your own vegan 'cheese' and egg substitutes. I love this book and it's really easy to make. Happy Herbivore is amazing and full of fab tips, I love her easy to make and inexpensive recipes.
  • 1st Nov - 6 mile walk 2nd Nov - 30DS 3rd Nov - 1.7miles
  • I'm in again for 30 - seems like a good number to me and I'm gonna push for it this time!
  • Snowdon is gorgeous - can't believe I've never been. My parents took my sister and my nephew (when he was about 1!) and I'm yet to go. Was meant to do the 3 Peaks last year but illness put paid to that. Needless to say I'm jealous!!!!! Really enjoyed todays run. Last one of the month. Think my target was ambitious but you…
  • Well this is worrying and you need to find the route cause. Are you eating before your workout? Are you working out too long and too hard? Have you been checked out by a doctor?
  • Congrats @grimmeanor , @Stoshew71, @dharkan, @Hononui and everyone else who has smashed their target for the month! I wasn't massively in the mood today but I went out and did it anyway.
  • You will go off track but accept it and move on, don't give up
  • Today's lunchtime run honestly made me think this is not getting any easier. I'm gonna keep going but really want to see some results now!
  • If you look at the photo in my signature... that's the photo that made me know things needed to change. I'm far from perfect 7yrs later and I fluctuate about +/- 7lbs through a year. Really all you need to know is that you don't want to be your worst you, the unhealthy you that you don't love. You want to be your best you,…
  • Vegetarian for 24yrs, getting more vegan as time goes on :)
  • Check out Happy Herbivore - loads of delicious veggie recipes. Cheap and easy to make, and delicious!
  • Been interesting reading the comments about the 5ks. Now that I've signed up to a 10k I started remembering the sight of the runners who did a 5k that I volunteered at a few months ago. They were stumbling over, gasping for breath and some were sick. What have I let myself in for???????? LOL
  • There will be differences of opinion on this. Some will tell you to "eat back" the calories that you burned during exercise, some will tell you not to. Really it's a decision that we all have to make for ourselves. If you exercise and burn, say, 300 calories before you eat then MFP will say: 1200 Goal - 0 Food + 300…
  • Sorry it won't let me edit the above so.... 1.86 done today.
  • I'd go for fit and healthy every time. One of my friends has bones sticking out and I wish she'd gain weight (she's pretty short and really skinny but thinks she's fat).
  • Just spotted this post and it's about 18months old. I hope you're still doing great - you did manage revenge because he didn't break you!!!!!! You're awesome :)
  • @fabnine - wow! Thanks for doing the math! Guess I'm not doing so bad after all! :D
  • Thank you for your kindness. I'm being totally bowled over by how nice runners are!!!! Must be all those endorphins!!!! The last two weeks of coughing and having a chest full of crap haven't helped one bit but you're right, it's defeat never to try. I can and I will!!!!
  • Pee is sterile unless it's left where it falls... and since you'd be washing it straight down the drain I don't understand the "eeeeeeewwwwwww gross"! Also, in this day and age if you're peeing then flushing 1-5 gallons of water down the pipe then getting straight into the shower then it's not exactly environmentally…
  • Hey, you're more than 43miles PAST target with a week to go and you RAN 6 MILES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go!
  • OK... just hit the halfway mark with a week to go so I really do admit defeat. Even so, I'm still going and, well, I've just committed to this running malarkey and signed up to a 10K next June #bonkers!
  • Forgot to update this one but maybe you saw on the running challenge thread. The jacket is brilliant so far. Warm enough to keep the chill off without being too hot, ran through a rain storm and the hood stayed up and I stayed dry. It has long enough sleeves (with thumb holes) and a long back to keep the wind out. I love…
  • Definitely running more of my route, and faster. I like it!!!
  • So this month has been totally pants. Bad weather, high winds and me feeling ill has put paid to me reaching my goal. Will do as best I can for the rest of the month.
