Healthy without a doubt. I've seen the damage being 'boney' can do as it usually comes with an eating disorder, unfortunately a close friend of mine suffers with, he was put through 8 months of hospitalisation but is doing better now thank goodness.

I'd go for fit and healthy every time. One of my friends has bones sticking out and I wish she'd gain weight (she's pretty short and really skinny but thinks she's fat).

They aren't mutually exclusive, being bony and healthy...

Exactly, some people are just naturally boney. Perfectly healthy and fit, but boney.

I'm overweight and boney! It's like a cruel joke. My hip bones, ribs and collarbone all look like they should be on a person who is thin and/or fit.

Some of my bones stick out. I'm healthy though, so I get both worlds. lol. Healthy definitely, but if you're naturally bony, there's nothing wrong with that either.

So 'thin' and 'lean' are bad now?!

Urban Dictionary has some interesting definitions...
    Boney
A name given to a man who is exuberant, outgoing and affectionate. He is sympathetic and trustworthy. Really knows how to make you feel good. He is a brave individual who knows how to celebrate life and makes things happen. Loves to indulge in creative stuff. Knows his music well. He is sexy, romantic, has a great body, and on fire in bed.

    "Damn Boney is hot"

    "Boney got game"

    "I'm in love with Boney"

I prefer seeing (and suspect I will prefer being) fit, muscular, healthy.
I don't want to see or be boney, anorexic, unhealthfully thin, etc.
Places where bones should appear on a healthy person: cheeks, collarbones, elbows, points of hips, knees, ankles, wrists.
