Since JourneybyT has left and deactivated her account, does this mean the group will also be deactivated (since she started it)?

You're right, bethlauren8 --- if you've never struggled with something, it would be difficult to understand. There ARE a few who are eating healthier the last few weeks, so maybe our potlucks will get healthier.

Yay, poutchikins!! That's my goal to walk over 10,000 steps a day! B)

I get so angry at the "try this" people!! I work with people who do NOT eat healthy, so I don't dare eat when our work has lunches --- there's NEVER anything healthy, and EVERYTHING has cheese and gluten (which I can't eat). I bring my lunch and eat by myself (working in school system I NEED that 25 minutes of peace and…

Ya, I can't have those yummy rice cakes in my house --- at least not now. ;)

FourLynne, do you have a battle buddy --- someone to exercise with? That has REALLY helped me push past my "tired" days. Are you getting enough rest? I have been doing The Daniel Plan with some other ladies and have been reading a lot --- one thing was that when we're tired we tend to eat more carbs. Have you noticed that?…

I do 20-30 minutes yoga every morning and try to walk at least 30 minutes 3-5 times a week and do weight machines 2-3 times a week. It's been GORGEOUS here in NW Missouri, so I have been walking in the park the last week --- the challenge for me is this BIG hill --- but have been LOVING it because it was almost 70…

I can NOT give in to cravings --- it's almost like alcoholism for me --- one bite and I'm done for because I can't seem to turn it off after that first bite. I've been off sugar, white flour and processed foods for awhile and that really seems to help me curb cravings. I no longer crave sugar or carbs.

I will drink decaf herbal tea at night, make a simple smoothie (1 cup almond or coconut milk) with 1/2 cup frozen fruit and maybe some kale, or eat an orange or apple. I also use a Soda Stream to make seltzer water --- drinking bubbly water seems to help me on days when I am tired (and am more prone to "cheat").

I agree!!! I lost 20+ last year just by starting my day with yoga stretches (not "real" yoga --- this is an easy "back care basics" dvd. I started walking 20 minutes 2-3 times a week and now up to 30-40. This has made me <3 exercise again!

My daily goals are to eat under 1400 calories, yoga stretches 20-30 minutes every morning and walk 30-40 minutes 3-5 times a week. My short term goal is to get under 200 pounds by the end of May.

I am basically on no sugar, no gluten, no dairy and under 1400 calories. I had read The Daniel Plan with a group of ladies and found out I was allergic to dairy. I'm on self-imposed gluten-free because I have severe arthritis in my spine and don't want to get anymore cortisone shots in my spine --- all my doctors liked the…

Hi. I am 53 and lost over 20 pounds last year and working hard to lose at least 70 more. Looking for people in the same boat so we can encourage each other in this journey.
