  • I am not from Orlando but I had a question for all you Orlandians. (It's not a theme park question) It's about cashless toll booths. My family and I will be flying into Orlando. We are renting a car. The major travel points are Airport-->Orlando, Orlando-->Busch Gardens Tampa, Orlando-->Port Canaveral. Are there cashless…
  • I have about 14 more days until I will have logged on to MFP for one year. I've been on maintenance since July 19, 2011 and have successfully stayed within my weight range. But it's funny, even though I have clearly experienced success, and both the scale and measuring tape shows no significant gains, lately my brain has…
  • Hello everyone! I haven't been reading the maintenance thread in some time. It's nice to catch up on all of your lives. The holidays proved to be very good for me in terms of maintaining my weight. For the last three weeks I've weighed in at 153.2lbs. That has never happened ever, and I've been weighing myself once a week…
  • I am 155lbs, 5'10" tall. I wear a medium top, but sometimes a large only because I am tall and sometimes long sleeved tops are too short for my arms. But mostly medium. My pants are an 8 or 10.
  • So excited with myself! I ran the Sight Night 8K run this evening in 1 hour and 2 minutes! The weather was a FREEZING!!!! It was -20'C. I'm not sure what that is in 'F. But, I stayed very warm and ran pretty much the whole time. I'm thinking I just might be able to run a 10 K sometime next year.
  • I've also been on MFP for 6 months (as of last week, but I was waiting for my "skinny" week to post a progress update, hehe). Pics and stats here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/agthorn/view/6-months-on-mfp-169606 [/quote] You look great! I notice that you are going on a cruise! I soooooo want to do that! If you have any…
  • This is my favourite time of year! I am always in great spirits at this time of year. But, I do let my guard down when it comes to eating holiday treats. Twice I've broken down at this time of year and started gaining back the weight that I worked so hard to lose. When I've over indulged too often, I start feeling bad…
  • You look stunning! All the hard work paid off!
  • Hello! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I just finished watching Dr. Oz, and he was talking about how important it is to have a "buddy" when losing weight. Even if you don't know them and they live many many miles away from you. He then buddied up women from around the country. It got me thinking how lucky we all…
  • I've been on maintenance for month now and I too am finding it very difficult to figure out how many calories I need to consume. I've lost 7 pounds since starting maintenance and I consume on average 1800-2000 calories a day.
  • I think as long as you are gradually losing it isn't a concern. I've been on maintenance for 4 months now, and even though I've increased my calories quite a bit, I've lost 7 pounds. A loss is a loss not matter how slow or quick it comes off, as long as it stays off.

  • I'm 5'10" and I've been this tall since grade 11 - 15 years old. I didn't like being tall in high school, but now I don't mind at all.
  • how long should scanning take for a bluetooth ps3 headset? My son threw out the instructions to his new headset.
  • I think that losing the weight is only part of the journey and it's probably the easy part. It's what is going on inside your head that is tough to fix, but definitely doable. One strategy is self talk. You need to stop all those negative thoughts that ruminate inside your head and replace them with positive ones, even if…
  • Could you allow them to keep a few and donate the rest? We have donation spots for Halloween candy in our city. I've never done it before, but I know of others who have.
  • I've never thought of myself as "attractive", but every now and then I've been told by others that I am. I am satisfied with my looks, just happy that my body is in great working order. :)
  • I wanted to guess that you were in your 20's but the 3 kids threw me off! Wow you are busy!!!!! And you look great!
  • I've found for me, that even after I attained my goal, my was body still physically changing because I am eating properly and continuing to exercise. I'm not losing weight, but my body is firming up. My stomach is almost flat and I had a bit of a pooch. I'm guessing as the months go by it'll only get better. Patience is my…
  • JKA Mommy - 32? It looks like you have 3 children so I'm basing that on my guess...
  • Congratulations on losing 13lbs in one month! Amazing! But unfortunately this kind of weight loss won't happen every month. That's okay though because losing about 3-5 pounds a month is healthy. So, celebrate your big weight loss this past month and take comfort in knowing that a slow and steady weight loss is the healthy…
  • One day won't hurt your efforts. Make sure your mind knows this, and don't feel like all is lost and give up! You will do just fine.
  • You've come to the right place! You will do great!
  • What I've learned over the last few months is that the scale should not be your sole indicator of success. Are you taking body measurements? I've also learned that weight fluctuates very easily. So, with that being said, don't stress out. Ensure you are taking measurements because even if the scale doesn't move you will…
  • Wonderful story! I am so happy for you!
  • I joined weight watchers about 7 years ago and had huge success with it. I got to my goal weight and became a lifetime member. I learned a lot and it was a great motivator and supportive. But I find MFP even more motivating and supportive. I suppose you just need to decide if perhaps the physical world is more supportive…
  • I burned 354 calories running 36 minutes today.
