Awesome job! That happened to me too :) After about 10 pounds all my dress pants were falling down. If that happens to you I suggest putting them in the dryer on high for an hour or so.

Me too!

I hope so! I'm running in one tomorrow morning! I've never ran more than 8 but I said wth, I'll do it anyway :)

sound awesome

Here's my perspective although I'm sure others may have different experiences. Treadmills: - I set the pace. I don't run too fast or too slow. - There is no uphill running unless I choose so. - There are no unexpected bumps/uneven terrain. - There is no wind, unless you turn on a fan. - Temperature controlled. - Constantly…

I wouldn't get too hung up on the number of the size but if it's a way to mark your progress maybe stick with the same brand, cut, style of jeans. Example -> I buy Arizona boot cut jeans from JCPenny, size 13. They used to be super tight but now they're starting to get loose. When I need a smaller pair I'll buy the exact…

That's awesome!! Congrats :)

Thank you! The first few weeks I just ran as much as I could. At first it was only a few minutes at a time. Once I was able to run 2 miles without walking I started a half-marathon training plan from RunKeeper. That really helped me stay focused and motivated to run longer.

I did a little bit with some dumbbells but never anything consistent. It was usually just sitting on the couch watching TV and I'd pick one up and start. I would say that I have to carry my dog a lot. He's about 50 lbs now and absolutely terrified of skateboards. And I live just a few blocks from a skate park! Every time…

I try saying that too but then people start telling my how inaccurate BMI is and how our family has never fit on that scale. Um, maybe because we're all overweight?
-
I actually get this a lot from family members. A recent example, my mom who is the same height as me but probably 20 lbs less told me I can't lose anymore weight or I'll look sick. Um, I'm still 50 lbs more than what I want! Family reunions are the worst. There are some people in my extended family that I really don't care…

I feel bad for him but I really don't understand. Isn't there a point when you think you should do something about it? Maybe when you can no longer get out of bed? I struggle to comprehend eating 2 dozen eggs for breakfast. I can hardly eat two eggs. At least he's losing now though. Hopefully he makes it through surgery.

Use the Morningstar or Bocca burger vegetarian chicken patties and you're golden. They taste great but no meat.

I do the same thing. A few extra miles in the morning is totally worth beer and jalapeno poppers that night.

Truthfully, even if it doesn't fit in my calories I'm still going to drink it if I"m going out on a Friday or Saturday night. The upside, I'm typically under my calories all week so one day over hasn't been a problem with weight loss. I guess if I believed in the "cheat meal" theory than I'd call this my "cheat drinks". As…

I just use whatever I have on hand at the time. I typically pick from some or all of the following depending on how much effort I feel like putting in: - fresh or frozen fruit depending on the time of year - some type of juice (apple, cranberry, oj, water in a pinch) - peanut butter - crushed nature valley bars (the…

My clumsy dog head-butted me...I have a bruise on my forehead now :ohwell:
-
Thank you! These all look great. I'll be ordering some tonight :) I also dress him up sometimes. He actually enjoys it since he's usually so cold. He's gonna look pretty great in his Halloween bumblebee costume :)

Yes, so we've heard.

Please, just stop. Admit that you were wrong, move on. Nothing you contribute further will make people agree with you.

The thing is, everyone has different circumstances. Just because someone has worked at a job for 20+ years does not = money in savings for one month's mortgage. Many people back home (rural northern Michigan) have worked the same job most of their lives and still live paycheck to paycheck. So many things have happened that…

I bought my first ever pair of skinny jeans in August (so excited). When I bought them I could put them on and button them up but they were TIGHT. So tight I couldn't really sit in them for fear I might rip my new jeans. Anyway, today I have spent the day pulling them up :)

I heard this from another poster a few weeks ago. I've yet to use it but am waiting patiently (impatiently) to do so. "You weren't there telling me what to eat when I was fat so you don't get to tell me now that I'm skinny."
