I love to put it in an omelette along with leftover veggies or fresh greens (like spinach, arugula or kale) and some sriracha sauce. But I'm prefer savory to sweet... I have used quinoa in pancakes, which turned out pretty tasty!

I think you should challenge him to complete a round of P90X (or even just one plyo video!) and then we'll see how "gay" he thinks it is! What a loser! Anyway, keep up your workouts, girl! :flowerforyou:

When my husband gets home from work - because then I have an excuse to stop my work and we can relax together!

Wow, thanks for the valuable feedback! I appreciate your input and will be sure to take this new info into consideration when planning the next stage of my workout efforts. Thanks! :flowerforyou:

Just remember that a slip up doesn't mean that you're totally derailed from your plan. Recognize your mistake, learn from it and move on. Don't beat yourself up, stay positive and you'll see the scale move in the right direction again. Good luck!

I have learned to look at exercise as something that I GET to do and not something I HAVE to do. This change in perspective has made me appreciate all the things that my body can do and has helped me to cultivate a respect for myself that I'd never had before. Yes, this journey to a healthier self has transformed by body,…

Hey there, Miss Lisa! I was recently diagnosed with PCOS which, in addition to my hypothyroidism, makes losing weight particularly challenging. :grumble: My ob/gyn prescribed me Yaz, which is supposed to help. Are you taking an OC at the moment? The great thing about Yaz is that it is widely available in the States and in…

I've been through this as well. What I do after taking a break due to vacation/injury is starting with shorter distances to increase confidence in my stamina and speed. Since your endurance "block" is in your head, perhaps you can (re)build your muscle to be sure that you don't tire in the slightest during your run. A bit…

For me, it makes a world of difference to cook it using a broth instead of just water. It ups the calories just a bit, but worth it. Hope that helps! =)

I always get chicken or shrimp fajitas. That way, I can control the sour cream/cheese/sauces that go in/on my food. Try to steer clear of the complimentary chips and remember that salsa is the best condiment to give you flavor without many calories and no fat! Pass on that mexican martini (yum!) and stick with water. Good…

Your food log looks good, but maybe you can amp up your workout and add some strength training?

Keep running, girl! The only way they will really "get to you" is if their cruel, childish behavior keeps you from getting your miles in. I've never had anything thrown at me, but I did have some teens blow smoke in my face when I was running by. :explode: I was so mad that I actually ran a PR on my 5k that day! I say…

Hi Jennie, welcome to MFP! I am in München - and you? Congrats on your progress thusfar and good luck with your new workout regimen!

Good tip! I have recently taken to slicing up corn tortillas and baking them; great alternative to fried tortilla chips!

Great site, thanks! You might wanna check out the recipes at cookinglight.com, too. :flowerforyou:

Maybe the goals you had set for yourself were a little too ambitious to sustain for very long. Perhaps you can ease back into working out - I suggest you try to find an activity that you genuinely enjoy, like dancing. Placing unrealistic expectations on ourselves is exhausting! So, start again today! Remember how far…

The Firm's stability ball DVD is what turned me on to workout videos! My favorites are Jillian Michaels', but I like the stability ball workout for a rest day or strength training day. Keeping different workouts in the mix is key to combating workout boredom for me!

Thanks for sharing your experience! I've been stuck for a while and I think it is time to take your advice. Thanks. =)

I am personally addicted to the Nike+ device... check it out! (There's a video at the bottom of the page, too) http://nikerunning.nike.com/nikeos/p/nikeplus/en_US/

Fun link... you might enjoy this video, a lecture titled "Sugar: the bitter truth". It is worth the time, I think. =) http://www.youtube.com/v/dBnniua6-oM&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&fs=1

Thanks for the helpful feedback, gang! =)

Thanks for the advice on macronutrients. After reading a bit about my body type, I think I'll try a 30% 30% 40% (carbs, fat, protein). Setting a goal for lower body fat rather than weight or even measurements is a great idea. Thanks!

Hi Ladies! I'm Kristi, I moved to Munich, Germany about 7 months ago, just 10 days after getting married. Many of my married friends said that they gained the "newlywed 9" within a year of tying the knot... I hated the idea "letting myself go" just because I wasn't single anymore, so I set out to LOSE 9lbs instead. Today,…

I'm in! I could use tips/advice/recipes and such to lose those last few pounds. Losing the last 10lbs is a different game than losing high numbers, I think. Keep me posted!

When I achieve the little weekly goals I've set for myself, I buy a couple new songs from iTunes to add to my playlist to keep things fresh on runs. When I meet bigger goals, I reward myself with new workout gear or tech gadgets - I've found these non-food treats to be a great source of motivation. Cheers from Munich!

Many thanks for sharing your wisdom and inspiring others. =) Congrats on achieving your weight loss goal. Are there any other goals that you've set for yourself?

As a former college rugby player, I totally sympathize with your post. I am 5'1" and just naturally build muscle easily (especially in my legs!). Your sport is a great way to stay in shape, just be sure to fuel yourself with good foods. I made the mistake in college of thinking that hard practice meant that I had earned a…

For a low(er) fat curry, I make sure to use light coconut milk. This seems to make a big difference with calories and sugar. Just cook up your veggies, add the coco milk and curry and you're done! As for the sweet potatoes, one of my favorite snacks is the chop them into little sticks (like a french fry) then toss in a…

Girl, I'm in exactly the same situation. I eat well and run 25 miles per week in addition to strength training. I've been on Synthroid for about 18 months and though I am feeling better, the weight loss is very slow. I feel like I am working so hard just to lose one pound in about 3 weeks. According to my BMI, I am…

I've been rotating the 3 workouts from Shred (with running) for over a year and I am still not tired of it. Love JM - I also recommend her Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones videos. If you need more convincing, check out the rockin' reviews on Amazon. =)
