Hi, I set my calorie intake in line with my BMR and I rarely eat my exercise calories back. I know that this is very controversial but just can't eat them back! Sorry to sound not very clever but not sure what TDEE stands for....

Thanks for the advice. I was on a 1200 calorie a day diet for about a year and gradually lost weight for the first 8 months. Due to family circumstances, after August I didn't bother counting calories and put on 21lb. Since the beginning of March this year, I have started eating 1456 calories a day which is my BMR and have…

You look fantastic, a massive well done! (I am dead jealous!)

I always drink with food, just find it easier to digest the food. I always wait an hour before exercising though. Have never heard the water rule before.

Firstly, can I say you are a true inspiration and are brilliant to be able to lose 33lbs 9 weeks after having your 3rd child. I am still trying to lose my baby weight 2 years later. I, too breastfed my first for 15 months and my second only for 10 weeks as he didn't like the taste of breast milk. I didn't lose weight at…

Hi, I am a mum of a 2 year old and a nearly 4 year old. I also am weight training at the moment and just getting ready to do 20 minutes before my two boys wake up (it is 06.45 here). Please feel free to add me. Good luck on your strength training venture

I started at 213lb at the beginning of last year and lost a total of 48lb up until the middle of August. I was watching absolutely everything I ate and exercising vigorously for about an hour a day as well as walking 3 miles per day. At this time, my husband had a cancer scare and we found out that our 3 year old son may…

Thanks. I do get tired but that is probably because I have two toddlers, the eldest who is disabled and has severe learning difficulties. Sometimes I do dread the workout but once I get going, I am fine.

I do Davina McCall's DVD everyday (with a day off on Saturday) and do about 15 minutes of assorted exercises with 5lb weights. I have been doing this since the New Year and find that it is enough. May move up to the next size weights in a few months but for now, I find it ok. Start with small weights and work your way up.…

That sounds lovely.. may have to try that one this weekend.....

Steamed broccolli and roast parsnips. Did love sweetcorn and mushrooms - both were cravings through both my pregnancies but cannot stand the smell or sight of either of them anymore

Thanks for the info. I have been told recently that I am not getting enough protein so have seriously upped my meat and fish intake to the point where I have had about 150% of my daily intake of protein today. I have seriously started on weights recently so have been told to eat more meat and fish but will also think about…

Thanks everyone  I am 5"2 and currently weigh 174lbs. I want to get down to between 130 - 135lb so have between 39 - 44lbs to lose. I started this at the beginning of last year and weighed in at 213lb. The weight literally dropped off me for 8 months and I went down to 165lbs, but it isn't anymore. Will adjust my…

I thought I done a lot.... I do (every day): - Between 1 hour, 15 minutes - 1 hour, 30 minutes of Davina's Super Fit/High Energy Five DVD Between 30 mins - 1 hour of air strider And I walk about 3+ miles a day (which I don't include as exercise). Yes, yours is definitely enough, you should be proud

We don't eat until about 8.30. My hubby doesn't come home from work until about 7ish and my two boys go to bed about 7.30. Once that is all done and by the time dinner has been made (or in our case in the microwave some days!) it is about 8.30. I try to do a workout even if it is just 30 minutes whilst dinner is being…

Without wishing to jump on the band wagon and reiterating what some people including Carolyn has said, this lady is in desperate need of help and advice not people putting their 2pence in thinking they all know best. Fine, everyone has a right to their own opinion and mine is that if she is putting away 1200 calories a day…

Thank you. I have a Pulse Sonic HRM with a chest strap. I did have a Polar FT2 but realised that it didn't include calories burnt. Want a FT7/FT11, but can't afford one at the moment :grumble:

Thank you chick

I am 32 and have a 3 1/2 year old and 2 year old. When they are old enough to compete in activity days at school, I will be in my late 30's/early 40's. I want to be able to join in and participate with them instead of being sat on the sidelines being too fat and too old. Also, I am fed up looking like I have had two…

It does depend on your size and how much you weigh. I currently weigh 175lb and burn about 250cals doing a 20 minute aerobics session of Davina's. Hope this helps

I absolutely swear by Davina's DVDs. I have Body Buff, Superbody workout and the High Energy Five workout. I have two very small boys and so haven't seen the Body Buff DVD for a while. I did have Natalie Cassidy's DVD (before it got scratched to pieces) which I did find good but a bit tedious and boring after a while. With…
