  • I was just told today to take 1-2 Magnesium pills/capsules at bedtime. With the coffee in the morning, it is supposed to do the trick.

  • I found that they contributed to my protein intake alot and seemed to cooincide with my weightloss. With all things considered, I was eating better - I was on a low carb deal, kind of paleo diet I spose, and exercising too.

  • My small success today is that I actually got some exercise in. On another note, I really have started to take control of my eating and met with a friend to go over a diet plan based on eating whole foods. Excited to get healthy again after a year recovering from a car accident. Today was hard, but really good :)

  • Hmmmm - that's a tough question, but I will tell you that when I am not getting in enough calories I have a friend on here that always encourages me to get more food in and I appreciate his input about my diet on all levels (he's become a great friend on here-so I respect his input) I also had DQ last night with my boys (…
  • Thanks for this post! I really needed to read that today and I appreciate it very much :)
  • I have experienced panic attacks in the past, and always contributed them to lack of sleep and stress. However - lately I have been reading about the effects of carbs on mood and learned that an overabundance of simple carbs in the diet have been linked to depression. Also, when I eat alot of carbs and sugar, my ADD is…
  • Thanks for sharing - you look great and seem SO happy and at peace with yourself.
  • I think 1.5 per week (although I'd love to lose more but my body is just wanted to hold on tight to the fat!)
  • I used to struggle to get the food in to hit 1200 cals, and I have found that especially the healthier you eat - the harder it is. Now, I try to eat low carbs / med fat / high protein, so I am not sure if this will fit with how you are dieting but I will share what works for me. If I need extra calories I always drink a…
  • Mine is 50% protein/30%fat/20%carbs (or there abouts - depending on amount of exercise etc...on days that I work out extra hard, I up my carbs)
  • I am sorry to hear that. Does he need to lose some weight also? Sometimes people have a difficult time watching the person they are with make these kinds of changes, because for some reason it makes them insecure. Not trying to psycho analyze it, just think it is a great thing to get into a good healthy lifestyle and it…

  • I just bought a bottle of Walden Farms - it is 0 calories, 0 carbs, 0 fat - how can that be right? Well the label says it is. It does lack greatly on any taste at all that resembles salad dressing LOL! I only tried the Ceasar Dressing and the funny thing is not a couple hrs after I tried it and was not impressed, by son…
  • Yikes - I used to have a boyfriend who did the same thing and now have a 10 yr old stepson who LOVES to munch on ice. Apart from it annoying us around them, I haven't seen any damage associated with it. I think this is just something you need to break, like giving up bread or something. I always chew gum but not sure that…
  • I bring a couple of snacks, such as almonds, boiled eggs, string cheese and/or yogurt - and I always pack a salad and a protein shake for my main meal.
  • Ok thanks everyone! I keep reading that it is IMPORTANT to eat those calories and I've been thinking that it had some kind of magical metabolism effect or something that I didn't know about. I am on a low carb - high protein regimen (I am having a hard time eating 1200cals, but am for the most part, only in different gram…
  • I think it depends on how much energy you expend while doing it, so it would be tough to answer that question b/c everyone does things differently.. In the past, I have logged it as physical activity @ 100-200 calories.
  • I have been on here for probably the same amount of time and have experienced similar results as yours. I actually gained my initial loss back! I was very upset. Things are starting to get better though and I am just happy that I am getting healthier - even though I REALLY want to lose 20 lbs! Keep working hard - things…
