  • I love reading your post. Awesome testimonial and your pictures show an obvious love of life - yours and those whom are struggling like you did.
  • I have to agree also. I've been in maintenance for about a year. I do wear a calorie counting device on my arm and track food so religiously it's second nature to me now. It's a numbers game, I have days I burn over 3000 calories and eat 2500, I still slowly lose pounds just like the numbers say.
  • I think this offense probably could merit death, but if there is any added value that would be lost in this event (like your freedom or Friday trash to the curb) then perhaps restitution to replace the napkins and community service..... since you are the judge and jury you can determine the best place for that service. :-)
  • Wow, I know the original post is old but I am really inspired by reading this one! Thanks for posting!!
  • I also notice that I get asked if I need help by guy workers in the hardware and electronic stores while shopping. Had a semi driver on interstate go random speeds and when I tried to pass he would speed up and look over with a creepy smile. So what do I do? I never forget who I am, where I have been, and what I want from…
  • I have, the first one I couldn't let go and adopted for myself. Others brought tears to my eyes when I let them go to their new homes.... but my kids did the same thing when they grew up and left the nest also.
  • day 3: Faith is knowing with certainty He will come, in all matters He has my back.
  • Advent day 2: Knowing I need Him, it's not about me.... Turning from my sin in love for Him means I do love me for what He is asking gives me the best life.
  • Preparing for the king to arrive, forever the same. He is worthy of the effort.
  • I took a running class that taught about shoes, stretching, and various things to ensure I would not injure myself as I started running. In the beginning I did have lots of tight muscles. Once I learned the proper way to stretch out the areas that pained me and stretching several times in the day not just after the running…
  • I am thankful for much: health and inner peace, a wonderful husband and two kids, my family, a comfortable place to call home, a great job, support from friends here in my healthier lifestyle. I love my dog too. Thank you Lord for the life you have allowed me to experience and the many times you have revealed yourself and…
  • This year we have no special plans for lunch with family (weird for us) so when I got a good buy an a turkey pastrami we made a plan to make ruben sandwiches tomorrow with it. The rye bread was just taken out of the freezer. We are also planning to go to see a movie tomorrow afternoon.
  • I really like that idea! I'm looking forward to reading the advent posts. I have been a Christian a long time, but don't know a lot about the advent tradition. I know it's in preparation for the event, seen different things on tv, stuff in stores, but haven't ever really taken the time to connect all the meaning or read it…

  • I love what I do and that fact has kept me focusing despite some poor administration and many administration changes. I don't know if your state has AEA's, but I've seen them be teachers of teachers, consultants, education testing of certain kids, and direct intervention with certain issues. I have a BA in psych / soc…

  • Congrats to your NSV, I agree that is the coolest. I don't do heights without dizzy spells and nausea. Looking forward to your next years crawl down a building and comparison pictures.
  • Hi. My diary is open and I log in and encourage/ check out my friends regularly. I am in maintenance and try to maintain a high calorie burn. I'd like to call myself a runner, but more importantly I am definitely active. :-) Feel free to check out my profile and friend if you see a connection.
  • I am a Leslie fan. I went from huffing and puffing through her basic 2 mile walk (logged it as low impact aerobic) to do up to the 4 - 5 mile walk prior to getting into running. It is not the same, but it is wonderful cross training as she has you moving every muscle. I took a class and worked with a personal trainer to…
  • I love it. Somedays I do this too. :-)
  • I am in week 7 of c25k (first time ever) and just completed my second 25 minute jog, not counting the one I attempted to soon after summer and had to quit early due to tummy sickness. I downloaded a free podcast by Jeff Galloway (itunes) called 30 - 30 intervals. Start by warming up 3 minutes and cool down the same way. In…
  • Same here and I didn't have much to lose there in the first place. :-( But now I am beginning to even out.
  • Dear Lord, Knowing what you did for all humans to have an opportunity to come into relationship with you and accept your forgiveness and grace, I feel humbled by your ability to look at others and be concerned for their welfare because you had the grace of God on you to fulfil your purpose. I pray that I may also quit…
  • Thanks also. I worked a 12 hour day yesterday and then came home to exercise and eat and sleep. Back to work again. School is in session, so this is my life for now. I always do great during the summer and then get sucked into not exercising and poor eating habits during the school year. This year I am aiming for balance…
  • I found in the beginning that when I did things like cleaning and some of the other activities that did make me active, but not really at the level a fitness plan would have me do i did log something because I got to hungry at the end of a day... sometimes and a small snack 100 calories or so extra was needed to avoid my…
  • Hi, I was invited by Gwen B whom I had to good fortune of being friend-ed by within my first 24 hours of creating an account here. In April 2013 when I created the account I was just messing around trying new apps I found on my tablet. I didn't really have a goal but secretly yearned to feel better, eat better, move…
