  • LWW 333 CWW 328 Lost of 5 Apparently the heat has helped me sweat off a few more pounds. That and cleaning out storage, cleaning out the garage, removing excess furniture/clothes/boxes in preparation to sell my house... Either way I will take it.
  • Haven't Checked in for a while... trying to sell my house and buy a different once and just so busy... but it seems to be helping in the weight loss dept. LWW 337 CWW 333 Loss of 4
  • Ok when you hit bottom, there is no where to go but up right? I hit 340 Sunday, which is only 3 pounds short of my highest recorded weight ever. So, I tuned up my bicycle and will be riding it or walking to work from now on. If that doesn't work, I will get my gym membership renewed. As Tim D mentioned a couple of weeks…

  • I missed last week because I was sick in bed most of it. Back now and apparently having no appetite for 4 days helps in the weight loss department. LW 331.2 CW 326.2 Loss of 5 lbs.
  • Thanks Tim, I needed that. Going to just stick with the 1 pound a week calorie deficit and do walking for exercise. Just need to keep myself disciplined to stick to it. Friends like you help a lot!
  • HI guys I'm back. Not happy with myself, and not going to go into the whys of it. Suffice to say I have gained back nearly all of the weight I lost since I joined MFP, and I am essentially starting over. So here is my check in. LW -- CW 331.2
  • LW 306.0 CW 307.2 Family Christmas party was Friday night and I just let go and decided that since I have been loosing like crazy, I would give myself a pass until after Christmas. So I am not too upset about the 1.2 gain this week, because I know it will come right back off after the holidays. Merry Christmas to all and…
  • LW 315.4 CW 306.0 Loss of 9.4 lbs! Only 6 lbs away from my New Year's goal of under 300.
  • LW 318.4 CW 315.4 Loss of 3 pounds No complaints here!
  • LW 317.2 CW 318.4 Not bad considering Thanksgiving was last week. I will take a 1.2 pound gain on Thanksgiving week. Back at it hard this week though!
  • LW 318.8 CW 317.2 Lost 1.6 pounds. Keeping it going!
  • LW 322.6 CW 318.8 Loss 3.8 It feels great to be back! Besides the 3.8 loss this week, I also moved up to the next notch on my belt!
  • I'm back and I am definitely on a mission. I weighed myself this morning and realized while I was "to busy" I had gotten nearly back to where I started, gaining 60+ pounds from my lowest point last year, and with the holidays coming, I was on a crash course with becoming the heaviest I have ever been. So I have recommitted…
  • LWW 311.2 CWW 320.1 Yeah, 6 days camping at my family reunion up in the hills. Fun, food, family and beer. Lots of beer. I am sure it is mostly water retention because with all the hiking, fishing, horse shoes and other activities, there is no way I went over by 5000 calories a day.
  • I'm still here Michelle! I did my fair share of backsliding myself, gained back 40 of the 75 lbs that I lost in the first year. I am trying to get back on track myself. Let me know if I can help!
  • LWW 311.2 CWW 311.2 No gain, and considering Saturday was my birthday and I didn't care about calories all weekend, I will take it! It was a busy weekend though, working outside on projects. Probably why I didn't gain.
  • LWW 316.6 CWW 311.2 Down 5 lbs this week, but then I haven't run since last Wednesday because I dropped a ladder on my foot. I will be running tonight, so we will see if the weight goes up again or continues to go down.
  • The smoke hasn't been nearly as bad this year as last year, but it is enough that I have been doing my training runs inside on my treadmill rather than outside. Air quality hasn't gotten worse than "Unhealthy for sensitive groups" (asthma, COPD, etc.) but I figure I don't want to run in it unless I have to. Thunderstorms…
  • NOt sure why, but I always seem to gain weight when I start running regularly. Not sure if it is water from trying to make sure I stay hydrated, or actual muscle gain... I was under on calories each day even logging the calories for my runs conservatively. Anyways, week one of half marathon training complete, and I feel…
  • Ok I am a bit late checking in because I was hoping that it was just water retention from the long weekend of camping, drinking, and eating, but this morning I am up to 314.4. Oh well, I had an amazing camping trip at Birch Bay, and I have no regrets/ I will just get back on track and let the past be the past. LWW 309.6…
  • Back on track with major losses 2 weeks in a row. Been exercising regularly and logged everything like I am supposed to and it is paying off! The thanks go to my wife for finally getting herself in gear and building a fire under my butt, as well as making a menu plan for us to follow. LWW 314.8 CWW 309.6 Loss of 5.2!
  • Hi guys, haven't checked in for a while. I have been really struggling and it is time to get back on track and keep myself accountable. The bad news is since the last time I checked in, I gained 15 lbs. The good news is since I recommitted myself last week (with the help of my wife) I have lost 3.6 of those. So in a nut…
  • I am a big guy and I run. I have always struggled with shin splints until I tried minimalist shoes. I went from alternating running and walking for a total of just over a mile and was nearly in tears by the time I got home, to being able to run 3 miles on Monday after changing to a minimalist shoe. The logic behind it…
  • This. As with almost everything else about a healthier lifestyle. If you want it low cal, and to taste good, MAKE IT YOURSELF! Homebrew all the way.
  • LWW 303.6 CWW 306.3 So all the same numbers are in there, just in a different order... Gain of 2.7 I blame all the salt from the ham and scalloped potatoes and eggs and pickles. Nothing to do with how much of them I ate ... :/
  • Haven't been logging like I should this past week, my nieces brought me girl scout cookies, and with the surgery recovery I haven't felt much like exercising (even though it was wrist surgery and I could have, just didn't feel up to it). That all being said, I am not too upset with the numbers this week: LWW 302.9 CWW…
  • Checking in a bit late. Due to my carpal tunnel surgery last week and not really feeling like getting out to exercise, I didn't make it under 300 this week, but I did have a loss, so I call that a win. LWW 303.4 CWW 302.9 Loss of .5 lbs
  • Over halfway there on our mini challenge to be under 300 by 3/17! LWW 310.1 CWW 303.4 Loss of 6.7 lbs this week. Mostly water from the bad week the week before I am sure, but still feels good to be going in the right direction again!.
