Right now it's still for weight loss. My goal weight is about 3 lbs away from where I am now, so I'm still working to get there. Once that happens, I change my goals on MFP to maintenance and eat for that. I am probably not the poster child for healthy eating as I've lost the weight eating what I wanted but in moderation.…

I have pretty much had my loss goal to be 2lbs per week the entire time with my activity level changing as I've gotten more active. Some weeks I lost .5lbs and some around 2. My general weekly loss (I weigh-in every Saturday morning) has been somewhere around or above 1lb. I'm very careful to never go over my calorie goal…

It's amazing how much the community on MFP makes a difference when you're starting out. Even when you don't want people in your day to day life that see you know that you're trying to lose weight because you think you'll fail, you have people on here pushing you to keep going at it. Congrats on your progress and loss...…

"Make sure you get some food... You are still eating right?" (She was serious...) and "you're shrinking, you're half of who you were!"

RE: LosingtheDamn Pretty much just eating whatever. I more conscious of what I eat though and have not had really any fast food (McDonalds, etc.) or pizza. I eat a lot more chicken and have not had a regular soda since June. I just know what my calories are for the day and stay under them- it's hard but if I know I'm going…

Friend request sent! Encouragement is what has gotten me to keep going! I'm right around my first 8lbs lost and we're somewhat similar in weight loss goals! Keep at it!

Great job! It's good to see MFP working for other guys... I started this at 231 about 2 months ago. I'm down to 222 now and aiming for 180-185 as my goal (I'm 6'0 so that's about where I need to be.) Thanks for the encouragement to keep on moving!

Good job! Congrats on getting under the 200lbs mark! Keep on moving forward and thanks for encouraging the rest of us!

AI... welcome to My Fitness Pal! I've been on here for about two weeks and find that tracking everything I eat helps keep me motivated to keep going. I lift a little but really like to run and switch from treadmill at the gym to outside whenever I can. I also use the RunKeeper app on my phone when I run outside because it…

We have the NurtiBullet as well and love it! Got it at Walmart for $100... it comes with three cups and lids which also serve as the blender container (you just screw the blades on where the lid goes, blend, and take it off)... so no extra container to clean... you literally just blend it and take it with you in the…

Couch to 5K is an awesome thing and breathing IS key. Don't try to run a marathon on the first day... just do what you can and walk when you need to. Remember to set a pace you can live with and keep that pace as you go. You'll notice you can go faster and longer as time progresses! Also... a good pair of running shoes…

Just started on here on Tuesday morning... never really counted calories before or logged exercise in anything like this- and I'm loving it so far! I've got about 50lbs to lose too but don't really have a set date to get there... taking it slow with smaller goals! Excited to see what this journey will bring! Here we go!
