  • Wow, I am so glad I found this thread. I have been on this site since last year and lost almost 40 pounds for my wedding. I then got pregnant on my honeymoon and got upset when I realized that there was no pregnancy setting. I stopped counting calories and started just eating healthy and whole foods- even if that meant…
  • Really you should use them all. Just because we are girls does not mean that we shouldn't work all our muscle sets. And don't worry about getting bulky; we don't have the hormones to make that happen. Also, cardio burns calories while we do it, but lifting actually makes you burn a bit more every day since your body uses…
  • I have pretty much been doing 1200 calories a day for 6 months. I found that the more water you drink and the more vegetables you stuff into your day, the more full you are. I try to eat between 5-8 servings of vegetables (not fruits) a day.

  • Congratulations! I got engaged in January and joined this site for the same reason. I have lost 30 lbs and hit my high school weight! It is a great site, you will love it and be very successful if you follow the advice. Feel free to add me if you need any motivation or wedding chitchat.
  • I live by Kashi. They are expensive, but nothing compared to the mental ease it puts me at. I eat their cereals (I do mix them a lot). In a pinch I have their frozen meals (but they are the ONLY ones I will eat now). When I have a pizza craving, theirs is an amazing substitute. Again, they are expensive, but worth it in my…

  • I know that tomorrow is technically the weigh-in, but I wanted to post because I jumped on the scale this morning and I hit my goal weight! YAY! I haven't been this weight since high school. I still have another 2.5 weeks till my dress fitting so I am going to see how far I can get and then it is maintaining. This…
  • I started losing weight for my wedding and then found this site. I too, have had success at weight watchers, but gained it back. I LOVE this app. It makes me feel like I am not dieting. I have lost almost 30lbs in 5 months. My wedding is in August (but my dress fitiing is at the end of June so I really have to lose what I…
  • You can do it, just make healthy choices (as much as you can). Don't forget, bigger portions of the vegetables and smaller of the bad things. Also, a snack before you go and a lot of water go a long way! Good luck! I will be right there with you!
  • Pretty much. I had engagement pictures last Sunday so I kind of let up a little afterward. I also was going to the gym in the morning and only getting 4-5 hours of sleep because of it. Now I am getting closer to 7 when I skip. I do miss it and will probably start back tomorrow or the next day. But, it did feel great to…

  • The exact same thing happened to me this week. I actually started eating my excercise calories... big difference. I am now 4 lbs from my goal. I've decided that when I hit it, I will change my loss goal to .5 lbs a week instead of 1lb per week. I know that no one wants to lose slowly but I really do think it wins the race!…
  • I def agree that it is what you are eating. It is about both how many calories and WHAT calories you put into your body. As far as things getting boring, there are so many recipies, marinades, dry rubs, etc that work great for meats. As far as cravings, get sugar free or low fat options, but just have one. Or, you can try…
  • I "trick" my fiance into eating veggies by making a lot of "fried rices" or stirfrys. By fried rice, I mean that there is brown rice, low sodium soy sauce, lean chicken/pork, and baked veggies all together. I will usually top it off with some parmesean cheese to make him happy. (I use balsamic vinager instead of soy sauce,…
  • You have just given me the inspiration I need to get through the weekend. Congratulations!
  • Keep it up... I was at a plateau for over a month. All of a sudden three lbs came off and it has been coming steady. Your body will get used to what you do. Change it up. However, eventually, your body will just "give up" and shed a little more. :)
  • I, too, have the Reebok ez-tones. I love them. I wore them for a year and got new ones for christmas. I will say, they don't make a HUGE difference in toning. However, I noticed a big difference in comfort. I have very bad knees and after a year in these, I have not really noticed any more problems. Occasionally (now that…

  • I completely understand. YOu are at your lightest in the morning, so that is when I weigh. I fluctuate days like crazy. Yesterday morning I weighed in at 149 and this morning I was 152.5. I am usually within a four pound range, which is annoying. I find the lowest one and then just try to get back there every day. Sodium…
  • Sounds good. I could use the extra motivation... That dress fitting is coming up faster and faster.
