Try soaking oatmeal before you eat it.

After just two and a half months of Stronglifts 5x5. Lost -3 kg, but 2 clothes sizes in a year.

<--- I am a bulky chick!

^ This. I do a fast run for 5 minutes on a mill, stretch, lift weights for 40 minutes, stretch again and do a slower run for another 5 minutes. Never had any troubles with joints, ligaments or stretched muscles.

Well, my gym is a kind of old school and guys on weights are really experts to the last detail, some of them even compete in weightlifting. I'm glad to be there! Sometimes I feel kinda like a moron but never mind...

<---- This is heavy lifting. On serious note, you lift heavy when your 6-8 rep is a failure.
-
<---- You mean arms like mine? I took this photo yesterday in the gym after 2 1/2 months of Stronglifts 5*5. All I did was SL 5*5 and 15-20 swing with 16-20 kg kettlebell and 8-10 reps of dumbbell presses - the heaviest you can lift. I'm not super strict with food. Just make sure you eat enough - better more than…

Sugar, sugar and lots of sugar. In cookies, soft drinks, desserts, chocolate, cola, ketchup you name it.

I'm a woman so no big mucle gain. I've lost 1.5 clothing size, lots of cellulite, totaly reshaped my body. Can squat my weight and deadlift 150% of weight after 2 months. What results do you aspire to see?

Thank you very much, I appreciate your advice! Now let's go running and lifting.

This is my first half-marathon and my goal is simply to complete it without injury. This plan look ok to me. http://www.womenshealthmag.com/fitness/half-marathon-training

wowzers! :flowerforyou: I lift heavy too and the weight is not going anywhere (not even 100 g!) , but I lost 1.5 size and lots of inches. Keep going!

LISS cardio is Low Intensity Steady State. This is running about 65-75% of your max-hr for an extended period of time (45 minutes usually). For most people this means a slow jog or very fast walk. + 3x heavy lifting / week aka resistance training

Wow, what a difference!:flowerforyou:

Where the heck did all these millions of overweight people on MFP came from? They become too heavy by themselves? At least some had to be spoiled by their parents. I know for myself I had very limited knowledge about nutrition, calories, exercise etc. prior to joining MFP. Parents or school did not provide me whith…

Once you overcome the fear of "guys section of the gym" you figure out it was empty all the time. Guys are actually preety cool and they show respect for any woman with the guts to just try lifting heavy. They might give you a look or two at the beginning but nobody is going to criticise you or shun you or even say it's…

I'm 5'6.5 and 138. At 130 I looked somehow starved - with visible collar bones, hollow cheeks and thin wrists - and skinny. Clothes I wear now are the same I used to wear at 130 ( small size) but because I lift heavy my body looks shapely and fit. Scale nubmer is not everything.

1. Friends 2. Friends 3. Friends! On more serious note... 1. Make order in my food routine, macros and calories. 2. Cut calores from drinks completly. 3. Start regular exercise - running and weight lifting.

I was at 29.9 % BF last November, now I'm at 21+%. I lost some with diet, some with Stronglifts. Large deficit is not a good idea with heavy lifting. I would suggest maximum 300 calories below mainenance.
-
Deadlift. Squat with your weight on your shoulder. I know of no better way to shape a body and get rid of cellulite. My muffin tops and cellulite are almost completly gone. Vanished!

Your trainer is right and isn't right. You need to progress slowly and gradually, sure. But moderate strength training didn't kill nobody so far. If you wan't to start weight training I suggest you use kettlebell. It's a full body exercise and If you swing it your body positions into its natural form without…

First visible changes after a month. Rounded butt, thinner waist and thighs, back muscles, visibly melted CELULLITE! Weight went up and centimeters down.

My starting BF was 29.9, now I'm at 21+. I would say 20-25, depending on how you look and feel in your body.

Heavy lifting! Body Pump is maybe good for starters but it won't give you results you want. Pump real iron.

First advice: please DO NOT go hungry or at least very hungry day after day. Find better, nutritious food options, more meals, sometimes more food. Once you hit your goal weight you might swing into jo-jo effect and you'll be back where you started in no time. Weight lifting can have very different effect on people. Some…

There is no need to be afraid of guys in the free weight section. They are suprisingly cool; you sure will get a glance or two (especially at squating!) but if you mind your business they are going to leave you alone. I didn't have a bad experience so far, though it seems like I'm the only woman not just in this gym but in…

It's in the right section, congratulations! :flowerforyou: You've lost a ton of inches.
-
I lift heavy as well, just came home from the gym. If anyone needs support, feel free to add me.

My Gawd" :noway: It's difficult to believe this transformation or that you are the same person. Outstanding job!:flowerforyou:
