  • It is so hard to know when I get different opinions...I have a trainer friend who uses shakeology and told me to use those and the sound like what would be good to do, but I also want a real meal, I can't stand substituting shakes. What about vitamin water?
  • I either use a bandana to hold my hear back and keeps sweat out of my eyes with a pony tail or use an octopus hair clip with a head band

  • I have the same type of questions as I also just bought a heart monitor with chest strap and I am 35, 120 lbs with a resting heart rate of 85 and a supposed max heart rate of 190, but my monitor shows I am staying in the 170's and 180's during my Zumba class and I am comfortable and can still have conversations so I don't…
  • Been doing it alone for three months three times a week in a class and have lost maybe 10 pounds but lost two pant sizes.....verrry happy.....and my endurance is getting better too!!
  • Love it!! Want to add that if you do try it and don't like it....try another class because every instructor is different, every routine is different, and every class is different so don't judge one class. Check out You Tube too to get ideas and routines, awesome stuff just pick any song and ad zumba to the name and I…

  • Help...Please :) I am just trying to get in shape and git rid of flabby belly, thighs, & butt and Zumba is working great, but I don't want to damage my heart or joints by over doing it three times a week and I have been doing this for three months now, burning around 600 calories each hour long class. I have noticed more…
  • Yes...Try Aqua Zumba too...cardio in the water and you stay cool but also burn calories and have lots of fun!
  • I agree with oatmeal, I usually eat instant but prefer to add nuts, raisins, or fruit and always rotate juices as well like apple or cranberry and orange juice. I can drink milk occasionally, but choose not too, just don't like it. I also love waffles but don't get them often but usually with fruit instead of tons of…
  • Wanted to add that we don't have children and divorce is not the answer, this should be something we could work on together but I don't understand why it is such a problem. I have to do what I feel is right for me, I am responsible for myself and my own reactions...no one can make you feel or do anything, you allow it.
  • My husband and I argue about this now more than ever. He says he is happy for me and my results but working out more than a couple times a week is too much. I go to Zumba twice a week and exercise when I can at home by myself. If he sees me on this site or looking up stuff on the web he now says I am obssessed. He could…
  • HOLY COW.....now that is something to be proud of...wow!!!
  • Also wanted to say I am 5'4" and 120 lbs and never had any children to cause it, just flabby and out of shape but it is getting better since I have been working out this year but it is still slower in changing than everywhere else.
  • I understand, I am the same way, a little pouchy from belly button and below...my trainer said its normal since we are female and have more organs down there in that area and will just need more lower ab work. Gets worse during that monthly time, a little more "swollen" that's me, very irritating.
  • I am currently 120 at 5'4" and can wear a 6 or 8 but still jiggly in a semi flat belly and very jiggle in my thighs and butt, so I am working on getting in shape and getting more toned. At my worst was a size 14 at 140 and just felt awful.
  • Wow...no one from Tennessee here. I was hoping to find some local help and make friends.
  • I LOVE ZUMBA!! AND don't be afraid to try different classes, every instructor is different and uses different techniques. AND they all use different songs and routines, some like dance more and others more aerobic...mine is perfect, just enough of both and class is a mixture of different size people and we all have fun.
  • Any activity around horses is excellent for getting in shape, even if you only ride occasionally. I bet you were very sore when you started but the more you do, the better it gets. I think riding english or huntseat or dressage are better workouts for your core especially to keep balance but also your back and legs and…
