  • I'm not positive but I have read about other people's issue with this and the advice for them was to change their exercise routine. Do something besides your treadmill. Also I have heard that you need to actually consume more calories to lose the weight. Maybe go up to 1300-1500 calories a day. I hope everything works…
  • What I do is a mixture of stuff. Like today I had a Turkey hot dog (with no roll, leftovers), 10 green beans (leftovers), a few slices of Sharp Cheddar Cheese, a few strawberries cut up, 14 wheat thin chips (multigrain), and some hummus.. it all equaled only 297 calories. Other days if we have left over chicken I'll reheat…
  • That sounds really refreshing!!
  • I would love to hear some exercises that help the lower stomach as well.
  • Thanks Everyone!! Hopefully getting back to actually exercising will make me feel better too!
  • I just watched her make the entire dish and it looks delicious and easy. I think I'll make this for him tomorrow night. And thank you everyone for all the good ideas.. I do have an apartment when I'm at school so I can definitely use these recipes again!
  • which shakes are the best? I'm a college student and rarely get time to eat breakfast (unless it's a poptart on the go).. maybe I could substitute that poptart for a slim fast shake and start my day off on the right foot.
  • That's great that you reached your goal!!! Congratulations!
  • What do you do for the slimfast plan?
  • I know that while doing exercises you are suppose to pull your stomach in, but it is so hard for me to do while certain exercises. Mostly it is hard while doing crunches (which probably is the most important to do it with). Any tips on how to keep your belly sucked in??

  • I've felt the same way plenty of times so when that happens I just don't log it and I move to the next day (or I log it to see how much I really ate to show myself that it's not what I want). Moving on to tomorrow tell yourself "I'm going to eat better" find some motivation with a picture or maybe losing weight for…
  • Hi welcome to mfp. I was the same way when I joined, I never knew how many calories I was actually consuming in one day until I started counting. It's amazing how many calories are in food we think are good for us. Good luck with your weight loss!!
  • Thanks everyone!! I'll keep up with my morning weigh-ins
  • Yeah the reason why I did not want to bring my 30 day shred (even though I can fit it into the time he is at work) is because his room is on the second floor of the house and I did not want to shake the house with the jumping jacks or other cardio parts and bother his parents (who are a bit elderly). If it's nice I guess I…
  • I know I should leave the alcohol alone but I'm only 21 and he's 22 and usually on the weekends when I am there his friend will go to a bar and we'll join them.
  • Just finished L1D5 and I feel really good. My knee/legs are still sore after the work out but everything else is fine. I think I'll definitely be able to move on to L2 after day 10!!! The only thing I really have trouble with is pulling my stomach in while doing the moves.. does anyone have any tips?
  • Today for me is L1D4 and I was a little hesitant on doing (I just wanted to lay in bed) but reading all of your posts have motivated me... so I'm starting the dvd now! haha
  • 27 minutes? Isn't it a 20 minutes work out? I've done it for 3 days so far and have only been putting 20 minutes of circuit it in for my exercise log.
  • I just bought the shred dvd from walmart a few days ago and tried it out wednesday morning before I went to work. Needless to say I was very sore thursday morning and slept in but I started it again tonight and plan to do it every morning before work. I think this support group will help a lot though!!
  • Thanks, I wasn't always fond of my name but it's grown on me. And yes Cassie we are going to kick some butts.

  • So I'm a college student and I know alcohol has a LOT of calories but I drink every weekend (some thursdays too). I'm nervous that this will ruin my weight loss plan but at school with friends who party and drink or a boyfriend who likes to go to the bar every weekend it's not really that easy to not drink (or to only have…
  • Hey.. I'm 21, 5'4 and weigh 152. I would love to be anywhere from 120-130. I don't exactly care about the numbers as much as I care about my "pouch" on my stomach (and my love handles). I get self conscious about seeing my pouch and love handles under my shirts and tend to resort to wearing a sweatshirt or shirt that stays…
