I think the meaning there was not that those foods give you hunger pangs, but that you have hunger pangs because you ate those things and can't eat any more without going over your daily calories :P

That... doesn't make any sense? If your maintenance was 700-900 calories, how would eating more make you lose weight rather than gain it?

Curious, why is it too low? MFP always seems to want to put mine at 1200, I figured that was the average intake needed to lose weight.

No, I don't think it's the least bit selfish to want happiness. If surgery is what you need to be able to live and love yourself, then I would say it's worth the risk. In your position, I think I'd feel the same way.

I get the exact same thing, with a bad headache usually coming on during or shortly after exercise.

My favourite food before starting a diet 3 months ago was chips and gravy, deep fried deliciousness. But last week, I had it for my treat day and oh god.... It didn't end well. Not only did it taste like greasy, slimy crap but there was definately a tummy-ache involved.

There are certainly more factors than weight where health is concerned, however those at TiTP are attempting to convince themselves and others that weight is NEVER a factor at all.

Mmm yeah it'd definately be easier to lose weight with better labelling. For example, the Subway Roast beef sub is advertised as 1090kj for a 6-inch, when in reality its almost double if you have anything BUT roast beef on it.

Couldn't agree more. Seems to be quite a dangerous thing, ignoring doctors and encouraging others to ignore them and not to diet because "fat doesnt = unhealthy"
