This exactly

I would agree with all the others. Repeat the week if you need to. It took me about three weeks before I moved on to week number 2.
-
I agree with this. Unless I am doing something that the Fitbit won't track (like the Elliptical), I just wear my Fitbit and do not bother with my HRM anymore. When walking or running, the calories burned were very close between the two.

I got the Force a little over a week ago and love it. I've been averaging 12,000 steps per day. Feel free to add me http://www.fitbit.com/user/2DR4G3

Great info. I am bumping this for future reference.

I really really really want to be a runner, but I have not got to the point where I can run for longer than 90 seconds at a time. My time for a 5K a couple weeks ago was 45 minutes. I'll be happy if I can just get under 40 minutes :)
-
Man, I was thinking a 14 minute mile was good. Mine is 15:30 per mile. Just keep it up. You'll get faster. That is what all my runner friends keep telling me.
-
Way to go! That is such an accomplishment.

I just stumbled upon this book. Had never heard of it before. Definitely interested.

I'm going tonight to get a 5 dollar foot long. I've already figured it into my calories and I cannot wait!! I will enjoy every single bite of sodium, nitrates, and whatever blah blah blah is in there. Sometimes we have to grab fast food, and I'd rather it be a sub than a big mac and fries.

Congrats! Thank you for posting. It is an inspiration

Congrats! So inspiring. My goals is to eventually run a 1/2 marathon. I'm not even ready to do a 5K yet. But eventually.

That seems very high. I use a Polar FT4, which comes with the chest strap, and I love it. When I walk or jog, my calorie burn is very near what MFP estimates.
-
This - I have the Polar FT4 and absolutely love it. But am looking to buy the Fitbit Force because that will be something I can wear all day long, and tracks sleep. I will use both, if I do get a Fitbit. The Polar FT4 was very much worth the $62.00.

Just developed PF yesterday. Ouch. Bumping this so I can research the info given.

Raw veggies with hummus - yum! My favorites are carrots and cucumbers

I am the same way, and am struggling with this right now. I did so well, and then boom, all I can think about is sweets.

Congrats! You look amazing!

This!!!

Congrats!!!

I don't know about listing my favorite album, etc, but I can tell you I have my Pandora set to Bon Jovi, Chicago, and Journey. If I'm in the car with my kids, the radio is always on Christian contemporary.

I agree with some of the other posters. I didn't step on a scale (and didnt go to my doctor, because I didn't want to get on the scale) for 2 years, because I didn't want to know. I didn't want to change. I wanted to keep eating what I wanted, and if I didn't know, then to me, it wasn't real. In those 2 years, I gained 40…

I have 50 now, and lots of them are not active, hardly log in, and hardly comment. Which is fine. They can stay on my friends list, and maybe they'll see my diary, or my exercises, and be encouraged. I have a strong core of about 10 people that I interact with every day. They have inspired me, and I look forward to their…

I kept thinking about your story while on my walk this morning. I figured if you could run 26 miles, I could walk an extra lap. Instead of 25 - 45 minutes, I walked/jogged for 74. Thank you for the motivation :)
