I mainly drink it with protein shakes. I get plenty of lean protein in my diet every day I don't need it from milk. [/quote]

I've heard the same thing so I just looked this up. It has the pros and cons of soy milk. I personally like unsweetened almond milk, only 35 calories. http://www.fitday.com/fitness-articles/nutrition/healthy-eating/pros-and-cons-of-drinking-soy-milk.html

The past is the past you can't do anything about yesterday. Just ask yourself what you can do better today even if it's something small. I hit a slump for a couple weeks and I'm back on it. If you keep at it long enough the weight is going to come off. Slow is better than fast fixes. It's a long term life style change.…

A rest day for me means I can take a long relaxing walk or bike ride if the weather permits. I'm still burning calories and getting exercise but I'm taking time out to enjoy the day, be peaceful and meditate.

Salmon Burgers, baked sweet potato, cauliflower and broccoli.

Make sure you are fitted with the proper shoe. That can make a difference in running. Running on worn out shoes can cause injury. I'm training for a 1/2 marathon with a local running store and I am following their schedule. When I first started running I started power walking and then jogging and going a little further…

I just ran 6 miles today. I love the accomplishment I feel when I run. Last year I was running but wasn't watching my diet and actually gained weight. I'm 20 pounds down from last year and what a difference that makes. I'm using this site to watch the calories and running a few times a week and I can feel myself getting…

I get the plain as well to get the lower sugar. My favorite is 1/4 cup of blueberries, ground flaxseed and a little splenda. Yumm!

I go to a local running store and have them fit me for shoes. I've been doing that for a few years and I am happy with what I get and I get a good price. Good stores like that will let you try them out and if they don't work they will let you return them.

A few years ago I got into running and did a 1/2 marathon and then some things happened in life. I quit running and gained weight. I started back up last year and was getting mad at myself as I was running because I was slower and it was difficult. I had to be reminded to be grateful that I was back out running again and…

I just had 1/2 cup of lowfat cottage cheese with blueberries. I also add a little splenda for sweetness and ground flax seed for a nutty flavor. It was really good. Less than 200 calories.

Thank you for the info. on Netrition, looks like they have them a little cheaper. Also regarding the Sucralose, their website claims that it is used in very small amounts. They use another natural sweetner that I have never heard of. I was just looking for a protein bar that I could take with me on the go that was low…

I love it. I get the unsweetened and use that in my low sugar protein shake. It's lower calories and sugar than milk and it still gives it something more than plain water.

Emotional eating for comfort was a big problem for me. I try to stick with whole foods they tend to fill you up more. We had Mahi Mahi for dinner the other night it's high protein and low fat and it really filled me up plus I topped it with some store bought peach mango salsa. Last night we had chicken with spaghetti…

I'm trying to focus on non food rewards. Like a pedicure and a massage. Things to pamper myself that I wouldn't normally do. One thing I'm looking forward to is a nice new swim suit for the summer.

I am trying to stay low carb but I do get a sweet craving. Stuff I keep on hand is no sugar added Popsicle brand Fudge Pops, you get 2 per serving. I make a ricotta cheese dessert that you can add what ever you like to it. 1/4 cup of low fat ricotta cheese and then I add splenda, vanilla extract and then sometimes…

Yoga. Hot Yoga is also really good. They have some really good stretches that get deep into your hips.

I've gone through the same thing and was in a similar funk this past January. What helped me get out of it is a friend asked me to join a biggest loser contest. I didn't "feel" like doing it but after I ignored my feelings and went ahead I got really excited and into it and found this website in addition. I've lost 5…

Yum, thanks for sharing. I'm saving that one.

When I signed up the system gave me 165 grams of carbs a day which I look at as sugar. I am trying to keep net carbs 30 to 50 grams a day. You get net carbs from subtracting fiber grams from carbs.

A good book to read is Protein Power, it explains the science behind carbs and proteins. They have a calculation to determine how much protein a person should have, it's based on your specific lean muscle mass. I am supposed to have at least 69 a day but they told me if I go over it's ok. Protein Shakes help. I have a good…

I add splenda, blueberries and ground flax seed. The flax is very good for you and has a nutty flavor.

You could first set some smaller goals to work up to it. I am a 1/2 marathon runner. Start with some 5K's and then work your way up. You can find tons of training tips online. It really does help to find a running partner to keep motivated and for accountability. I am not some super athlete, I run because I need to…

If you have Netflix, they have workout videos that you can rent to try out before you buy. I found a series by Jari Love that has a "Get Ripped" series. It's like a all over fat buring cardio/strength training and it's really good.

That's just not right.

Shut up that's crazy! Omg that is too funny but really weird.

Awesome! I'm supposed to go to a get together with a bunch of ladies Sat. night and this would be great to take.

The first week of my diet on the 5 day or so I had the same problem. Just stuck with everything, drank water and it went away. Trying to make sure I get enough fiber. I'm not even sure how many grams of fiber a day I should have. Was thinking about getting some psyllum husk pills.

I'm not sure of the science of the powder specifically for fat loss. I know I like having the protein powder as a supplement to healthy eating and exercising to develop muscle and burn fat. I have a protein shake that I love. It's Elite 12 hour protein in Fudge Brownie. It's low carb and at least 20 grams of protein. It…
