I LOVE milk, soy and regular milk, I am NOT lactose intolerant, however, I have heard that soy milk is not good for women due to reproductive issues. Also my nutritionist said to limit soy milk, silly I know I didn't bother to ask why. Soy milk has less calories than regular milk, what have you guys heard??

Soy Milk is fine unless you are drinking a whole carton a day. Look at Asian cultures, soy is part of their everyday diet and they don't have issues. If you ate soy products at every meal and drank 3-4 glasses of soy milk a day, then you may encounter some issues but in moderation it is really good for you.0 -
I would like to know this too. I love silk milk!0

I haven't heard anything about that. I'd be interested to what other people say...but I do know that nutritionists don't need degrees, so I tend never to trust them. (not saying yours doesn't, because I did meet a registered dietitian who called herself a nutritionist because some people didn't know what an RD was0

I've heard the same thing so I just looked this up. It has the pros and cons of soy milk. I personally like unsweetened almond milk, only 35 calories.

I only drink soy milk and rice milk. Cosidering how many antiobiotic and such are given to dairy cows and are in return are in dairy milk, it seems only reasonable to me not to drink it. I absolutely think that soy milk is better fo you! Drink as much as you want! I think it is also important to do some research on soy, before deciding it causes "reproductive issues." (Chances are, it is the dairy industry telling you this.) I have never heard such a thing and I have done plenty of my own research. Of course, it is also important to buy organic as much as possible, soy milk included.0

Such a good point, thanks. You know sometimes all this info gets overwhelming, 100 people can say one thing is good for you and another 100 can say don't try it. But most def there has to be more chemicals in milk, ( I use organic milk most of the time) I love the tast of Silk soy milk, I will try organic soy, I LOVE the taste of soy milk.0 -

this is a complete misunderstanding Asian cultures eat fermented soy like tempeh, miso, tamari, and shoyu, they NOT eat processed GMO soy, unfermented soy, the soy that us americans have been introduced to and brainwashed to believe is health food. Soy milk, tofu, soy nuts, and a whole slue of products we eat EVERYDAY are essentially toxic due to their highly processed nature and genetically-modified state.
read about it, it will blow your mind.0 -

Unless the product clearly states 100% organic it is GM and processed using an explosive solvent called hexane which is a bi product of gasoline production.0

If in doubt check with your GYN. They would have more up to date info on the effects of soy and the body. I was advised against soy anything due to some family and personal history of medical issues and cancers.0
