  • Things got a little out of hand this week. Weighed myself Friday-140.6. Whoa, that's more loss than anticipated. I expected it to bounce back up a bit over the weekend and figured I might be a little dehydrated as well. Then I missed two runs (including my long run) and ate all the food I could get my hands on. So back to…
  • c25k was life changing for me! I struggled through the c25k program last spring and now I can run 5 miles straight. Never thought I'd be able to say that! What's more, I actually enjoy running now!
  • CSW: 145 CW: 143 GW: 130 Can't believe I'm on track after this weekend! I went out for brunch and dinner Saturday and went to the Vikings vs Seahawks game on Sunday so I wasn't sure how that would show up on the scale. It's great to see that if I keep my calories low during the week and keep my running miles up I don't…
  • Hi everyone! My background: I was fairly thin growing up, then I hit college and got to the border of overweight according to the BMI scale, then I went to grad school, bought a house, and got married in the past 3 years and that pushed me over to my heaviest weight of 160. I'm 5'5'' so it was overweight but not by a ton.…
  • HW: 160 CSW:145 CGW: 130 Not sure exactly where my goal weight will be-- but 130 is my goal for now and I think I can get there in 8 weeks if I stay focused! The first 15 took about 7 months so hopefully I can do it faster this time around.
  • Thank for hosting! It was inspiring to see everyone's great progress. Challenge start weight: 150 Current weight: 145 NYE Goal: 145 and I hit a 10 min mile!
  • Challenge Start Weight: 150 Current Weight: 146 (ish? It went up after cookie baking for the weekend, but I think it'll go back down to 146 today or tomorrow) NYE Goal: 145 Almost there!
  • I can't help but be a little jealous of those with 2 to 3 pounds of weight loss per week! I haven't been posting every week since I'm not planning to lose much. SW: 150 CW: 147 GW: 145 Once I hit 145 I will officially be back to a healthy BMI! I'm hoping to hit my goal early and maintain during Christmas with all the good…
  • I'm doing good but thinking about what my goals should be. I'm thinking that five pounds of weight loss would be a better goal than 10 before the new year. I want to balance my weight loss with my enjoyment of the holidays to make sure I'm healthy all around and reducing my weight loss goal may be the way to do it. I love…
  • My Thanksgiving will be starting with a Turkey Trot 10K so I'll have about an extra 500 calories to enjoy and then a little 5k on Saturday. Compared to how much extra I will likely consume, it wouldn't be enough to still lose, but at this time of year I'm happy if I can just maintain rather than focusing on losing. This…
  • My 10 Mile race was so good this weekend! It was raining and cold so I felt pretty beastly just for showing up! I hit my timing goal which felt amazing. I've always been terrible at running and still am one of the slowest people out there but I honestly can't believe how much I've improved since starting to run 6 months…
  • Glad you're feeling better curves2j!
  • Have you tried some low-carb versions of your comfort food? Zucchini noodles are pretty good and cauliflower rice is delicious and both have just a fraction of the calories of their inspiration. Also there are some amazing low-calorie soups to help your recovery!
  • I have a 10 Mile race this Saturday that I'm completely not prepared for! I'm worried I'll cause a return of shin splints, leading to less running, and therefore more races where I'm not prepared! But I'm also pretty excited since it will be my longest run ever by about a mile.
  • Week 1: 150 Week 2: 149 NYE Goal: 140
  • Current weight: 150 Goal weight: 140
  • My new recipe of the week: inside out cabbage rolls though I cook the meat (I used turkey sausage) in a frying pan and then put everything into a pot to boil.
  • Two goals: finally hit a 10 min mile and have my "these are way to tight but they button and look cute so I'm wearing them with this baggy shirt" jeans to be moved to my "these jeans need a belt" pile
  • Hi everyone! I'm 26 and have never been overweight by more than a few pounds until this year when grad school, a wedding, and a new job with wonderful food all around (Minneapolis skyway is my wonderland) I added on about 10 extra pounds. I've since lost that but have picked up running. While I'm now either at a healthy…
  • I would be up for a smaller 2014 bride group. I'm also going to be adding my measurements to my tracking if anyone wants to join me. Just ordered my dress this weekend and it can be let out to where I am now but it would be great if I could lose the 1 1/2 inches off my hips to make it fit perfectly!
  • I'm ready for some wedding motivation buddies as well! Just bought my dress this weekend and it will need to be let out if I don't lose about an inch and a half off my hips by November! I'm hoping to lose about 10-15 pounds before the wedding :)
  • Add me too! I promise I'm real even though I don't have a picture :ohwell: about 20 pounds for me!
  • A lot of women who eat 1200 cals aren't "starving." I'm tracking my cals and if I don't work out I come in close to that number without any issue. It makes me think about what I eat (i.e. would I rather have a heaping salad for 200 calories for a filling snack or that scone?) so that I stay feeling full. I plan my treats…
  • I'm in! For some reason I always forget abs in my workouts!
  • I love love love meal replacement shakes! I've used slim fast knock off (Wal Mart brand) to save money while still getting a balanced "meal." I've been able to both maintain and lose weight with these shakes. As others have said--two shakes as meals will leave you with a huge calorie deficit so I like to have one for…
  • If you plan your mixed drinks ahead of time and make them yourself, they can be pretty low cal with plenty of alcohol. Rum and diet is obviously one option (100 cal or less). I also used to drink vodka and vitamin water in my undergrad days (my tastes have matured a bit since then lol). Lemon or lime juice is also a great…
  • Other women being offended that I want to lose weight as if in my weight loss I am judging them. Usually comes out with food Me: "no thanks, the cookies you made with an entire stick of butter look delicious but I'm trying to eat healthy" Baker: "oh" *glare* "If you need to lose weight then I definitely do" followed by…
