  • I am size 12/14 weighing 190, 5' 6". My goal is 8/10 and 150
  • Hello everyone. I have not posted for some time. I have been pretty busy. I am 10 1/2 weeks pregnant with twins so unlike alot of women at 2 1/2 months, I show - big time. Maternity clothes are the only pants I can tolerate and I am worried I will turn into something between a weeble wobble and jabba the hut - yuck. I have…
  • Congrats kiffypooh on your pregnancy. I havent' checked in in a while. I am not sure what my weight gain is. I go to the doctor Thursday. I am 9 weeks along with twins so I already show. I am hoping not too much. I am trying to eat healthy but I am hoping I don't get the "you are eating too much" speech from my doctor. My…
  • Thank you for the Congratulations. I am still trying to absorb it. I can already tell this is going to change everything. I woke up this morning and was so tired I turned off the alarm and crawled back in bed. Then I heard a voice say very strongly, "You now have two babies to be healthy and stay in shape for. Get out…
  • The ultrasound today gave us quite a shock. We are having TWINS! I am happy and scared and overwhelmed and thrilled and shocked and stunned and a whole laundry list of other stuff I can't put words to. We were not expecting that. I joked about it but never thought it would come about. And just as I am trying to get used to…
  • Good morning all! I have been off the site for a few days at a conference but am back. I will be printing out my food journal to show my doctor tomorrow. Tomorrow is my first doctor appt and my first ultrasound. I am so excited! Have a great day, everybody!
  • I am 8 weeks pregnant and I know that I need to gain a very small amount of weight each week over the next 32 weeks. What I did was change my goals to gain 1/2 pound per week. At your stage, I would reccomend changing your goal from weight loss to maitenance. Trying to actively lose weight while pregnant is not…
  • I think I am getting too many calories but not enough protein. Any suggestions of good protein sources that won't break the bank?
  • Good morning everyone! I just wanted to check in and say hi! Today and yesterday are good days because I didn't lose my mind on a crying jag - one of the benefits (?!) of pregnancy. I feel good today and am ready to eat right and exercise and Be Healthy! I encourage everyone with healthy goals! We can do it!
  • This is my 7th week of pregnancy. I am so unbelievably tired. I even look it. Tired and cranky and Questioning the sanity of getting pregnant at age 40. I have heard its much harder and so far I am so beat its crazy.
  • My first ultrasound is not until the 18th. I hate waiting! But hopefully by that time we will be able to see something substantial. I can't wait!
  • Thank you so much for your help on changing my calorie count. It put me at 1880 which is good plus I will probably end up being under becuase of all the excercise calories I get. I just love this site! It is so cool!
  • If that is a current picture, I wouldn't worry about it. Just do your best on a daily basis to eat right. (I am a terrible person to talk - I eat too much of the good food) But you should know that you look good just the way you are. :flowerforyou:
  • How did you do that? I created an exercise called "Pregnancy Calorie Adjustment" to add more available calories and bring it to 1800 but I am really curious how you change to maintenance.
  • I posted to the previous thread and then saw the link here. Can I join your group? I promise I will have a picture up today. I just can't do that from work. I am 6 weeks pregnant, 40 years old, 182 pounds. I confess I think I have picked up those last two pounds in the last couple of weeks. I am already about 25-30 pounds…
  • Is it too late to join your group? I am six weeks pregnant and I really need to watch it. I am going into this already about 25 pounds overweight. Initially, I said forget dieting but I am already getting thick around the middle and picking up pounds I don't need. I need to put the brakes back on and exercise some control…
  • Hello everyone. I am newly pregnant (about 5 weeks). I have been on this site for a little bit now and I really like it. I am not so concerned about losing weight but I want to be sure and not gain too much! I am starting off about 30 pounds overweight. I dropped out of a weight loss challenge I was in but still love this…
  • I am deliriously happy its Friday. My eating is out of control and not sure what to do about it. I am studying for the CPA exam and take the first section tomorrow morning - MAN AM I STRESSED OUT!!!! I had a melt down last night and had not one, not two, not three but FOUR pieces of pizza. I sure did feel better after but…
  • Please don't give up! The scale can be deceptive. If it goes up a little but you are feeling good and your clothes are fitting well, there is a good chance you are gaining muscle and That is Good! In the long run that muscle will help you burn more fat. TOM definitely has a factor. I know I pick up a couple pounds when…
  • THAT IS AWESOME! TAKE A BOW! YOU DESERVE IT! :flowerforyou:
  • I did not do well the last few days. Saturday my weight was great but Sunday was a big eating day and Monday and tuesday were bad food days with no activity. Yuck. I regret to say the scale went up to 180. My TOM is due so that might have something to do with it. I am just plain HUNGRY for crap and sweets. I hate it!…
  • I did a horrible thing!! I ate two Krispy Kreme. They tasted good but now I want to be sick I feel so horrible. My calories are blown for the day!
  • QUESTION: Can I carry unused calories over to the next day? On workout days, 3 days a week, sometimes I have extra and I will today (hopefully). What can I do with them?
  • thanks blankcanvas for the ideas. I never thought of keeping the cooked shrimp around. Good suggestion! I think that planning may be my saving grace. I am a terrible grazer and keep snacks in my desk at work that I really shouldn't. But the quality of my snacks have improved. I have canned tuna & sardines, peanuts, carob…
  • Thank you missyann for posting the numbers. You did a great job! My numbers look correct. I have been doing well in what I eat, pretty much all healthy stuff but I eat too much of it! My food diary is disgraceful. Today is the day, I will try harder to eat less. I think I need to plan out my day instead of just recording…
  • My name is Keri and I am 40 years old. Ever since I turned 30, I have struggled with my weight. Many tears have been shed over this issue. My mantra is 8 BY 10 (size 8 by 2010). I exercise 3 times a week at Curves but struggle with my eating habits. I love my pizza and biscuits. I would be deliriously happy to get back…
  • Congratulations on making a fresh start. I just started myself but so far I really like it. I like that the more exercise I do, the more calories I have available. The suggestion about logging everything you eat is a great idea. I am trying to stay away from foods that I know make me feel crappy - like pastries, potato…
  • Welcome, I just joined myself. I think its great. Plus it gets past the website blocker at work - Yay!
  • I can manage about 1800 calories a day on average. Do you think that will do anything for weight loss or an I just treading water?
  • Thank, you very much for the sound advice. I went to a Curves weight loss class and they handed out books that outline specific menu's you have to follow - wow - way too much work and stress for me! I like what you say, everything in moderation.
