My take: Unless you need to watch sugar really closely for a health reason (i.e. blood sugar/insulin issues, etc.), I wouldn't worry too much. Food with lots of added sugars, especially refined sugars, are the ones to watch out for, especially since many of them lack much nutritional value. Of course empty calories are…

I am NOT a morning person, so during the school week my breakfast is usually something fast and easy that I can eat in the car. Most of the time, I try to make big batches of muffins on the weekends with whole wheat, oats, fruit, nuts, etc.--no added sugar or fat--and keep them in a big baggie in the fridge. Then I can…

No gym memberships or equipment here, so it depends on what I'm doing. My workouts are generally walks around town, often to the store and back, so I wear my shoes for that. (No shirt, no shoes, no service, right?) I'll put on sneakers when it's cold out, but now that summer's almost here, I usually just wear a…

 I don't even eat mine when they have black dots on them! Then they go into muffins. I need green at both ends to be happy. Is that weird?

Not only does it fit--you look beautiful in it!! :)

- Cook and bake as much from scratch as possible, and do your best to avoid processed/packaged foods. The more steps a food product takes to get into your kitchen, the more expensive it's likely to be. The more you can learn to do yourself, the less you'll spend! - Baking your own bread is healthier and much tastier than…

Yep! Tastings are usually only 2-3oz/pour so that you're not too tipsy by wine #5-6. :) Plus, a lot of times they'll have a sort of spittoon-thing there so that you are tasting, but not actually drinking, all that wine. Not that I have ever spit any out!

I think it's just important to be mindful of your portion sizes and of when you are full. Sometimes that will mean you're part of the happy-plate club, and sometimes it'll mean you're packing up some leftovers. At home, we measure or at least carefully eyeball all of our portions to make sure we aren't serving ourselves…

My momma doesn't lie. This stuff is dang good!!

I've never had any of the Skinny Cow products before, but I do tend to stay away from most foods that have lots of ingredients, especially ingredients of the polysyllabic variety. I prefer to appease my inner sugar monster with a square or two of good dark chocolate, a small scoop of regular old full-fat ice cream, or a…

Ooh--also, if you're tracking your other nutrients, you'll find that one cup of coffee gives you 116mg of potassium!

I've been a daily coffee drinker for years and it's never had an effect on my weight. Caffeine is an appetite suppressant, so a cup of java can sometimes curb a snackie craving for a lot fewer calories. I also read an article a couple of years ago that reported moderate coffee drinking (like a cup or two a day) could…

These sound great! I'll definitely have to try 'em out once I have some ripe bananas around.

Unless you have health reasons not to (diabetes, etc.), I'm going to suggest use real sugar! In moderation, it won't hurt you, and a small amount of real sugar (or honey, maple syrup, agave, sucanat, etc.) won't make that much of a caloric difference. Plus, they will definitely do a better job of satisfying your sweet…

I manually set my calories to a .33lb/week deficit. To me, it makes sense to eat pretty close to maintenance so that my body won't be shocked by the extra calories when I eventually meet my goal. Like others have said, this isn't a diet--it's a lifestyle--so I'm keeping my habits now very close to what they will be once I…

Love it!! :drinker:

Made these today! Slightly adapted as I only had 2 large bananas and a tiny scraping of peanut butter, so I cut the recipe down and used a bit of almond butter to finish the topping. My husband said they weren't sweet enough for his taste, but he also likes to eat cocoa puffs for breakfast. I think they're…

Definitely a difference--you are doing awesome!! Keep up the great work! :)

Sure! Just imitate what you see on the screen, then log it on MFP as "Dancing, general." :blushing:

Lots of leftovers! My hubby and I pretty much always cook meals that make 4-8 servings so that we can eat them for dinner that night and then lunch(es) later in the week. It keeps us from getting bored eating the same things for lunch every day, it gives us options besides cold stuff like salads or sandwiches and frozen…

Me too! Both feet! I've never met anyone else who could do this before. :)

Like I said, no offense intended. You're right--everyone has a right to spend their money how they want, and elective surgery could certainly give someone greater feelings of confidence and self-worth. My point was just that it is possible to get over body image hangups, and the money spent on cosmetic surgery could easily…
