Thanks! I will try this! When I snack in the evenings I am not sure that I am really even hungry - just want something to munch on. I like the idea of planning ahead for the evening snack! Thanks!

Evening snacking is getting me! After dinner I am still hungry but have eatten all my calories for the day. Need more discipline in the evenings as I find myself snacking and going over my calories by quite a bit! Advice?

Thank you so much for sharing your story, it is what I needed to hear today! I have lost 43 pounds but am stuck and unable to loose any more no matter how hard I try. I have stopped logging daily like I used to and was thinking about stopping the counting. Your story has re-emphasised to me the importance of sticking with…

Give your doctor's office a call and ask that question. The GP can prescribe it but it will be up to your doctor to decide if he/she wants to treat you himself/herself or refer you to a specalist. Good luck!!

1. what would maintenance look like for me 1400 cals? 1600 cals? 2. the answer to number two is both. My ultimate number is just to be somewhere in the 130's. But really just want to look better. Eatting at maintenance for a while to reset sounds like a good idea, I am all for that. Any thoughts on strength training…

I was eatting 1200 cals for 7 months and eatting back only half of my exercise calories, so there were many days where my net was below 1200, I know not the best idea - which is another reason I increased my calorie intake to 1400. My exercise is on the treadmill at the highest incline, level 10 at a brisk walk for average…

Sounds like you are doing all the right things; and congrats on the tremendous loss!! I would advise going to a docotor and checking out your thyroid, etc...
-
you can still walk but increase the ramp incline will make it more challenging and burn more calories! Good Luck!!

Going through that right now...lost 42 pounds. Clearance racks are my new best friends and start with must haves! I have learned to set aside a certain amount out of every paycheck and that is money to replace clothes. It is a slow process but you get there eventually. (Birthdays are great times to ask friends and family…

Needing encouragement too! 10 more pounds to go till I reach my goal, feel free to add me as well

If you are looking to add muscle to your abs and shed a bid of fat you may not see the scale move at all as muscle weights more than fat does and as you shed that fat and gain muscle - you may even see yourself gain a pound or two due to the added muscle. Nothing to worry about. I wouldn't go below 1200 calories even after…

Way to go!! Huge success! :)

Thanks to everyone for the advice! I have never counted calories before starting myfitnesspal. What is TDEE? I think the general concensus is right - I am not consuming enough calories and am burning too many of what I am consuming. Getting off the treadmill would be good as well - I have been looking into zumba but till…
