  • Thanks for this message! I will try to get my shoulder back in better condition.
  • Yes, luckily this weekend Friday and Saturday nights I stayed home alone and could sleep as long as I wanted. I got amazing deep sleep both nights. Was so tired I couldn't get out of my pajamas the whole day Saturday. But it felt sooooo good and amazing to do that. Feeling mostly better and ready to get my eating better. I…
  • I have not been feeling that well over the past week. With Christmas and the big weekend I ate A LOT of really rich foods and wine and while it was delicious I feel like I have not been doing my part. Sleeping has been so difficult for me, especially when my bf sleeps over or I sleep at his. It is like it is impossible for…
  • Wow great job Menix8!! That is fabulous you are doing amazingly well. I haven't been keeping track of my calories too well and I bought some yummy treats that I never (I mean ever) get to eat. Cheese and crackers, salami and french onion dip. Living in Korea these things are a specialty. And wine too. Luckily I stayed…
  • I just wanted to check in with my exercise a bit. My diet has been a little...over calories the last few days. But I am really proud of a moment I had in the gym today! A day I was almost *not* going to go. It was a day off of the weights so I decided to do a longer 30 minute cardio session. I did my normal 5 minute walk…
  • I love love this post. I am thinking we are the same age perhaps (28) and when I was 19 I was also about 170 pounds but thankfully that was the highest I ever got. Reading your story I imagined that i could have easily gained the weight just like you did but for some thankful reason that did not happen perhaps only based…
  • Yum that sounds good! I wish I had an oven but I have made do in Korea for 3 and 1/2 years without one. Yesterday I mashed a steamed sweet potato and cooked it with some coconut oil and sprinkled with cinnamon. It was amazing. Especially because it is some sort of cross between a squash and a sweet potato they have over…
  • I think at some points just holding strong at the current weight is a big accomplishment too! So proud of everyone for keeping their goals in mind during this busy time :)
  • Wow that is great to hear you got back on track MaggieLoo! Nice to get some of that "catch-up" weight off. I had that in my weigh in last week and it feels good. Oh my, your health diagnoses seem a little scary but it seems like you will be on the right track for getting it taken care of. 2 inches on your waist is…
  • I try to stay away from pyramid schemes. You might find people on here who have tried every latest shake and fad but MFP logging meals and calories is where it's really at!
  • Seems like normal weight fluctuations from day to day. Try only to weigh yourself once a week and see the average over time. Then you can make adjustments to your diet if its not working.
  • Your juice should last 12-14 hours if you put it in a airtight glass jar I think. Perhaps you could make your morning juices in the evening. Just give them a shake before drinking.
  • I saw a YouTube channel called Bikini Fitness Model or something and they had tons of butt workouts and some girl who really rounded her bum out. Not sure if its just genetics or really because of their exercise. Their bum and legs were amazing though!
  • Welcome! There are so many people in the message boards and groups who will definitely help support and keep you motivated. And you can help and cheer on others as well.
  • Hello all, I am pretty new to lifting regularly but wanted to share with you all what I am doing. On MWF this week I did about 30 minute cardio (to aid fat loss) along with kettbell swings and kettbell squats. On T, TH this week I followed SL 5x5 program of squats, bench press and overhead press. I added a long row pull in…
  • Me too...I finish my dinner and feel full but want to keep eating so badly. Especially something sugary or "carby" even after dinner I'd crave a pbj sandwich...ummm no..can't happen. Try to kill this desire with as few calories as possible. Tea with honey, some extra fruit, small snack.
  • I really worked hard on my intake and exercise the past 7 days and guess what! I lost 1.6 kilograms! That is about 3.5 pounds!! Probably won't see that big of a loss again but I am pretty much ecstatic and can't wait to keep going. Not sure I can get the rest of the 12 pounds off in time or not but even if I don't make it…
  • Thanks for your replies. No luckily there is no pain just a bit of warmth and a small amount of stiffness the next day. I am seeing this as a sign to keep strengthening my knees.
  • Thank you for your insightful post! It was great to read and I agree with you on many of your points. It can be so difficult to focus and be diligent but as long as we are making small steps and effort along the way we can bring it all together. I am struggling to get out of my previous habits and its not comfortable and…
  • Maybe its time to change your routine a bit! Find some new activity to do or increase the intensity. Perhaps adjust your goals and calories. You have been working so hard already.
  • Thank you for helping my struggle with your nice words. I am proud of just getting up and working out. I feel so good about myself because I am trying to be healthier through exercise.
  • Thank you! I feel more ready to try now that I got some good easy to count foods to start this week off with.
  • Omg that is an amazing idea! So cute. You can get a new charm each time you reach a goal. Then when it comes to daily life and maintenance you can remember all the steps you took to get to where you are.
  • Thanks ladies I will try to keep going with the lifting in there and see how it goes. Thanks so much for your comments!
  • I am already scared about not making this goal. MFP says I will lose 1.1 kg by January 8. I want to lose 7 kg! Have to turn up the heat on exercise and keep strictly to the calories as i can!! OMG>>>This challenge is real and I want to meet my goal or get close!
  • Glad you are here! The spreadsheet should be open to any one to use on the computer. Let me know if you can't get it to work.
  • I readjusted my weight to kilograms since that is what the scales are in here in Korea. Feels like a bit of a slow start to me but now that I got my official weight at the doctors office I feel better off to get stronger. I have a solid clear goal of 7 kilograms and I think I am ready to log my food as best as I can. I…
  • That sounds great! Yeah I can't say I wasn't surprised at all the videos and tips on how to get a huger booty. I live in Asia and a big butt is NEVER desired here lol. I did 5 minutes treadmill, kettlebell swings, squats, bench press, barbell row, hanging leg raises and some decent stretching last night. Felt great!
  • Great! Thanks for joining us :)
