I don't think it's absolutely necessary but it would make things a whole lot easier. Living with my dad/sister is a struggle when they're constantly buying junk that I have easy access to. The last guy I dated was very lazy and didn't exercise and ate junk and slept all day. It annoyed me eventually. I couldn't imagine…

For $249??? Yikes.

There's no reason for anyone EVER to be eating 750-1100 calories a day. THAT'S BREAKFAST. Do research on BMR and TDEE. Fuel your body.

Almond milk is lower calorie so the better option for me!
-
I plan my day ahead to prevent over-eating. Always works for me. I need structure.

Most people use FitBit or Jawbone. I use neither myself but those seem to be most popular.

I was a 42D when I started. Was a 36DD last time I was measured - go figure I went up. My cup size didn't change but because my band got smaller so did the D cup, so I went up to a DD because I didn't lose any actual boobs.

Depends what it is. If I go over my peanut butter a couple grams, meh.. And I lick the spoon ;) If I go over my broccoli though, I might put some of that back. Hahaha.

1200 calories is not enough to fill your needs. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/819055-setting-your-calorie-and-macro-targets http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants

My weight was also off-put when I added lifting into my routine. Give it time to see the change. At LEAST 6 weeks of accurate tracking before you panic without seeing change. You could also be losing inches, so measure that as well!

+1 Try not to set a time frame. It's a journey, not a destination. If you don't make it by Christmas, that's okay. There's always next Christmas, and the one after that, and that. Find something permanent!
-
Hahah what kind of cardio are you doing that is THAT noisy!?
-
Nope. Eat them!

Congratulations on the 10lbs lost. Your weight loss will slow the closer you get to your goal. I re-calculate my calorie target every 5-10lbs lost normally. Initially the weight came off very easily for me, but now it's slowed quite a bit.…

I do a tbsp of peanut butter mixed in with 100% cocoa baker's chocolate pieces. Mixed up, SO GOOD. I also make my oats with water.

You won't get far without the proper nutrition along with that! I think it's a matter of personal preference here. I've never done Insanity but I've done the 30 Day Shred. I liked it!

Yeah you should be weighing them if you want to be sure. I weigh everything, including my vegetables in my salad.

Movie popcorn is definitely worth the calories. Hit the gym extra if you're worried and use some snack or dinner calories like you said. Why not! Enjoy :D

Went back to my old habits because I tried crash diets. Now I've changed my lifestyle and hopefully it's permanent. Haven't had any problems yet! It's a journey, not a destination. Eventually I may fall off again, but at least I know how to get back at it again.

I think everything in weight loss is controversial. In my experience I've found it pretty unlikely that people ever agree on things that are fitness related. It's because we still don't completely understand the human body.

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/819055-setting-your-calorie-and-macro-targets Very useful for trying to set calorie and macro targets.

You can't be sure of a "plateau" until normally about 6 weeks. I hit one recently and just broke it. It's possible you're losing inches and not pounds. The scale isn't the only measure of success. If you are concerned, try zig-zagging your calories and changing up your exercise. When it hit week 6 of not being able to get…

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/819055-setting-your-calorie-and-macro-targets 1200 calories is rarely enough so I wouldn't recommend it. I started doing TDEE - 20%, now I'm around TDEE - 15%-10% because I have less to lose. Good luck!

I weight 154lbs and I'm netting around 1600-1700. Eating 2200-2100 on days of exercise. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/819055-setting-your-calorie-and-macro-targets

My drink of choice is always vodka and water. It's the easiest thing. When drinking at home I use Mio or something similar but vodka water normally does it for me. Otherwise, diet pop and vodka.

I take an oral contraceptive pill. I gained a lot of weight, but I wouldn't blame it on the pill. Nothing I haven't been able to lose!
-
Yikes. I would be miserable if I was netting 900 calories. And starving.
-
No I like food

Another person here who tried 1200 and failed. Please don't fear high numbers when it comes to calories. I lost plenty of weight before stalling for 5 months and eventually giving up. I was also tired and miserable. I net 1700 calories and have lost 20lbs. But with my exercise included I'm eating normally over 2000…

It's kind of hard to decide on an exact target weight. I've changed mine around several times and decided I won't know until I get there. Try to think more about how you look and feel at a certain weight as opposed to "I won't be happy unless I reach X amount of weight". My first plateau I hit at 162lbs. One day I ate an…
