So, are respondents going to be informed of the results?

Thanks for the feedback. I suppose me being flabby is a possible explanation. :) On the other hand: http://www.fitday.com/fitness-articles/fitness/body-fat-scales-do-they-really-work.html#b

According to other MFPers you can use the exercise in the MFP database "strenuous calisthenics".

Your wish is my command.com :-) I haven't tried this myself so if you do make it, please post results! http://www.printfriendly.com/print/v2?url=http://foodipino.com/2012/03/21/fish-pochero/

Mas ma sarap yung fresh. If you use canned use tuna packed in water not oil.

Well said. I also want to add that I've been working out everyday with TRX for the last eight weeks without repetitive stress injuries. Just a bit sore

Where has this topic been all my life? :-) I have a passion for food but Filipino food and diet does not always go together. Try this modified recipe and let me know what you think. http://foodipino.com/2012/01/09/healthy-tuna-sisig/

Guilty! :-) Still interested in sharing healthy versions of Filipino recipes.

I very much like this advice. I have been working overseas for 2 months, so I will be focusing mainly on my loved ones on Canadian Thanksgiving. This will mean more talking and only grazing, over a long period of time. Although I have to admit the glycogen depleting exercise strategy is attractive to me.

I have lived, worked and been born overseas, where food has a 'natural' place in life. Food is consumed socially, and you are 'closer' to where food is produced . In North America, food is just another product. I think it's precisely because we in North America are so out of touch with what food is that we can talk about…

You sound like a guy who considers pain your friend. I would recommend Crossfit.

Thanks, a very good strategy. I have to say that the moment I smell rice cooking, I start to salivate.
-
Yeah, that's the thing for me. I think Filipinos have naturally so much rice in their diet that now my DNA is permanently changed and I go through rice withdrawal. Unfortunately, all that rice is going straight to my love handles. Personally, trying to stick to 200 cals per day of rice will be a Herculean effort.

Oops parboiled rice does rate less calories.

Brown, rice has the same calorie count as white. I got eh white rice figure from a Google search, which means calorie counting seems a bit imprecise!

I agree with Jorocka. You don't necessarily get big on TRX, you get lean with a strong core. In other words, excellent strength to weight ratio. I don't see TRX as an end in itself bit for me to safely do the outdoor sports that I love.

Go to Youtube and search for TRX and Rebecca Martinez, she demos a TRX squat with a hip rotation that will (if you do it properly) leave your legs burning for sure. Also look for TRX videos from Functional Patterns/Naudi Aguilar. More thigh burners. In between these sets I usually do box jumps. Guaranteed to make you cry…

I second that!

I agree that fitness routines/apparatus go through phases. I had pretty modest fitness goals at the time I met the SF guys. I like TRX because it's portable and can be done in confined spaces. I was making more of a statement about safety comparing Crossfit and TRX. When I started TRX I had a well-qualified, instructor…

Many thanks.

I can only speak for myself of course, but an overall toned and athletic female physique is much more attractive than any one particular physical 'asset'.
