Great work!

Awesome NSV! I'm a bike commuter too, conquering hills, while awful, give the BEST endorphins when you're done! Also, this. I spent too much time eating like I'd just finished the Tour de France, after my 5 mile commute. Thank goodness for MFP!

Bump! Thanks for the great post!

I'm starting week five of Alpha tomorrow, does that count?

I'd love to join you! I've started to hit the road again, but I could do with some accountability. I've probably got 12-15 miles per week in me right now, but Ive signed up for a half in Aug so it's time to start ramping up!

Congratulations! Good luck with your interview!

I got one in early January and it helped a TON in the beginning to help me realize what my actual calorie expenditure was, as opposed to what I thought I was burning. It's also great for helping maintain a specific deficit goal. I absolutely love it and recommend it to everyone! Lisa, if your numbers seem screwy it might…

Congrats! That must feel amazing! I'm a pear, too, so I am familiar with shorts-shame. I'd love to hear your leg/butt workout, as well!

I used to use it pretty regularly, although I never followed the plan. It works up a good sweat - most of the time I was dripping when I finished - and more importantly, it's a lot of fun!

Thanks for giving me my ice cream back!

This. Additionally, I'd bet you are not alone in your desire to not have junk around all the time. If you talk about it, other people will comfortable talking about it too. Our office has gradually turned into a place that used to order out every day, to now where we all sit around with our salads. After our last office…

I hope I can one day say that I have overcome this, but for right now I can just say I've gotten much better. Like many have mentioned, being really aggressive about tracking my food here helps a lot. When I know I have to own up to what I eat, before I even open the package, I tend to calm it down a bit. (Although, three…

Thanks for sharing! I love this post for a lot of reasons, for the reminder that I need to focus a little more energy into adding some variety to my lunch, and especially the emphasis on what you are doing to improve your health. I have a couple of coworkers who, about once a week, feels the need to chide me about my diet,…

I finished day 5 today! I'd love some support along the ride

What a great birthday present! Congratulations!

26 pounds in four months is AWESOME! Give yourself more credit, it's sounds like you've worked your butt off for it. Also, with such dramatic changes to your body, you might want to start measuring yourself if the scale isn't moving fast enough. That might give you a better idea of your progress. Congrats!

FABULOUS work! You are such an inspiration!!!:drinker:

I commute by bike year-round. I have yet to find an app that I like. I have tried all the ones listed, but it was just too much of a guessing game for me. I went with an hrm for burn and a bike computer for distance. You can get decent versions of both on amazon for about $100 total. If you do find an app that works well,…

I'm in! Sending you a message right now.

I'm new(ish) and looking for buddies too! Add me!

eganita, they pretty frequently will have sales on their website where they give you 12 months free - it comes with three free standard. If that's what's holding you back just keep an eye out for a sale and you'll find one.

Yay! I'm so excited for you! I have one too; I LOVE how accountable it keeps me!

I bought one a few weeks ago, after a friend recommended it, and I love it! It was amazing to see the difference between what I thought my activity levels were and what they actually are. It definitely has motivated me to step it up a few notches! I had been toying with the idea of getting a fitbit and decided that only…
