Similar issues here; I quit smoking in December and that on top of the holidays I put on weight as well. I've had a HELL of a time taking it off too. What I've found is that I'm sabotaging myself in some area's so take a really good look at your lifestyle and what you are doing. For me it's alcohol.. no matter how "good" I…

Nope, I love them, they are part of me and I don't regret them for a second!

Yep, I have the same problem. Even when I buy clothes that are 4 or 6 I keep thinking they must run larger. They forget to tell you when you finally manage to lose the weight, you are just changing physically not mentally. I've been at goal since September and the only time I see the "real" me is in photos. Oh well, rather…

November 1st, I'm the blonde LOL

If you have health issues make sure you check with your doctor! I've lost 65 pounds low carb, 30 grams or less a day. I've done both lower calorie as well as "eat what I want" and had more success when I kept cals at a reasonable amount for my BMR (1600-1800 per day.) I've NEVER had a lack of energy at this carb level.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?! That's brilliant!

I blame the inventors of flavored vodka... and pizza hut. But I particularly blame my mother and father for having the sexy time that caused my birth. Now I just drink unflavored vodka. I'm still waiting on them to invent low cal, low carb pizza that doesn't suck.

It really is all about a change in mindset. Everyone can say eat less, move more, but what caused the weight gain to begin with? Get a team together to help you; nutritionist, a psychologist, perhaps something like WW where you are held accountable might help. Until I learned WHY I mindlessly ate, I couldn't drop a pound…

For me, it was detoxing off all the carbs... I've found that what I thought was hunger before was really my body screaming at me and trying to detox from all the crap I was putting in it, or begging me to shovel more food in, depending on how you look at it. I'm sure some of it is psychological too. Can’t see your diary to…

^This, minus the animal stuff (veggie here) ...saved me from retyping LOL

Mine went way down and way south too! I'm so saving for a boob job for my 48th birthday! LOL Seriously though, I agree with other replies, boobs don't make you a woman or not a woman, I would give them up all over again to feel as good as I do now that I'm not fat anymore!

I wear them because I can't afford all the expensive workout clothes and tanks are a cheap alternative.

How tall are you? I'm 5'7" and started out in June around that weight. 1400-1600 + eating back exercise cals most days and I would drop 1 - 1 1/2 pounds a week. 1200 is just a generic "diet" number I think. You can customize your macros and adjust as you go to see what works best for you.

Eggs, tofu, a little cheese on occasion and veg protien shakes!

I've been surviving on 20-25 grams or less per day for a longgggg time and I'm very healthy. So, yea, wrong!
-
This post makes me hungry

^THIS - So TRUE!

This is silly. Tracking cals and macros and burns don't create eating disorders... mental health issues do.

Wow, it's kind of scary in here.... back to the original question - I've been low carb for a long time. Don't trust the food item counts on here. Most people don't really care about carbs being accurate in the sense of net carbs. If you compare true nutritional info carb/fiber wise, I'd say 9 out of 10 times it's wrong. A…

I'm only a few pounds away from goal (that my body is fighting me on big time) and I can not beleive how TERRIFIED I am! LOL I really am scared of how I'm gong to handle not being in weight loss mode. It's been close to 2 1/2 years where most of the time, I was in "diet" mode. I like the idea of setting other goals not…

It's taken me close to 3 years to lose 59 pounds. 30 of that i lost in the first year and I've been fighting with the rest of it since then. Don't look at this as a diet, look at this as a lifestyle. Even when I hit my goal, I'm not going back to what made me fat. Maybe not looking into the future about where you want to…

Cardio is ok, but you need to build muscle to burn more fat! I'm sure the gym wants you to spend money on personal training, but maybe it wouldn't hurt. From what I've read, more muscle mass requires more energy which means you will burn more fat to feed your muscles. Also, if you are working out 3 days a week, I doubt…

This! I'm low carb and eat about 25 g/15 net per day. You are craving carbs beacause you are eating carbs.
-
Any other restrictions? (low carb or anything like that?)

I've been trying to lose my last 15 for 8 months, it's very frustrating isn't it? Changing it up a bit seemed to help get things moving again, slowly, but at least the trend is downwards. I'm about sick of the "oh you don't need to lose anymore weight" thing I keep getting from friends... especially ones who haven't seen…

Yay bumppppp

I eat like 50+ grams of fiber a day and plenty of fat and water on the low carb diet and have the same issues. Only thing that's helped me are colace pills, 3 a day (may be too much for some people.) Or maybe your body is just so efficent that you don't have a bunch of poop!
-
I'm 5'7" and between 148-155 depending what day of the week it is. My goal is 129 but I usually can maintain pretty easy at 135ish. I think so much of it depends on your frame and build. Maybe the goal shouldn't be a number on a scale but how you look and feel.

Mine is locked because I'm a low carb vegetarian and the amount of cheese I consume would shock most people! That and I log for me not you, if you want to know what I eat you can ask, I'll share.
