I live in Lubbock, Tx! But for most of the summer I'm probably going to be working in Northern California, so a bit of a vagabond at the moment, lol.

Is this the same thing as when your cat won't stop licking your arm, no matter how much you beg?

Hi, all! I'm Ray - bi/poly/pan/treelover/readerofbooks/fat/uhh/hmm/wordswordswords Good afternoon! Sigh. I've been doing this for a while, it feels like. I was doing well, then something happened in my family that threw everything into spin-mode, and now three years later I'm doing everything I can, but nothing seems to be…

Lose as much of myself as I can before my ten-year wedding anniversary trip to Hawaii in May. I don't want the plane to tip over or something on take off.
-
Thanks, all :) I'm glad there are people around who are smarter than I am, lol.
-
Yeah, a lot of programs I looked at before said things like, "Do calves and abs at the end, if you want to."
-
Yep! Right now I'm taking it easy on them since anything I do that directly involves putting all my weight on the ball of my foot makes it painful to walk later on.
-
Thanks, guys! I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and see how it all shakes off, lol. And @TR0berts my calves actually look pretty good. Carrying around 400 plus pounds for years and all, lol. They have good shape, veins popping and what not, but I have Sesamoiditis in my left foot and doing seated calf raises shoots an…

Thanks, all! I've lost over a hundred pounds already, but lately I've just started worrying about my body holding on because I may be cutting more than 30 percent of my calories with my activity level and what not. But, I shall leave it as is and keep monitoring.

I actually just started a program and am on the 3rd week of it. Before that I used a personal trainer, but that gets expensive. This is a 4 day a week program, different days separated by shading.

Ugh... you don't want to see my front and side. It's hideous. I carry most of my weight in my mid section. But, in the effort to do this *kitten*, I'll post some. First time ever, so you've been warned. These are from last month.

Thanks! Yeah, it was one of the scanners at complete nutrition. I keep seeing different views on if it's accurate or not, but at the moment it's the best thing I have (and can afford. I've heard Dexa's are expensive.) Though, technically I've been in a deficit for most of this last year, and went from barely chest pressing…

Okay, one more question! What about using a HR monitor in conjuncture with the program on my watch that is specifically for training? (I use a Garmin Vivoactive HR) or will the outcome be the same? I only ask because it has built in things for time under load, resting, etc. Don't really use it much, I typically would just…

Well, *kitten*. lol

Perhaps I'm missing something, or I'm just confused, so a quick question! I use a HR strap monitor when I lift. The basic function of a HR monitor is to monitor your HR and, based on your HR and age/weight, it tells you how many calories you are burning due to your heart rate, as there's really not a difference between…

Haha, I think you're right! We're actually planning a trip to Yellowstone next year with some friends, so I'm hoping to be light enough to take her out and do things we've never been able to do before!
-
I feel ya, man. Just keep going, don't let anything stop you. When you feel that depression like I did/do, just use that to fuel your fat-burning powers. We have to kick this things *kitten*, or we're going nowhere, fast as hell. You can do this!

You are badass! Way to go!

I'm usually too embarrassed to post things on social media, but Instagram is kind of like mfp for me - everyone is really supportive that I've found. I'm @ray_findsfitness :)

You guys are so awesome <3 If any of you are on Instagram, I'd love to follow you! I'm @ray_findsfitness

Thanks all!
-
Thank you everyone! And yeah, having someone, anyone really, there to support your journey is one of the key things, I believe. That's one reason I like looking through instagram sometimes and finding someone random to tell them how awesome of a job they're doing, lol.

I'm about 75 down, 90 to go! Feel free to add me =)
-
If you want to see body transformation, you definitely need strength training. Your first step is to find a plan that suits your needs/desires, and if you stick to it I wouldn't be surprised if you start seeing differences in two weeks.
-
Any of you are free to add me! I've lost around 76lbs over the life of MFP (50ish the past 6 months) with about 90 to go!
-
Awesome job, man! I'm pretty much you--sorta. My highest was 427 I think, and I'm now just under 350. 250 is my first goal, so hopefully in a year I can just copy/paste part of your post =)
-
Thank you! Also, re-reading my post... where the hell did *kitten* come from? O_o did a cat manage to sneak into my post or something?
-
Thanks guys! =)

This is awesome, congratulations! I wish I could say I'm on a similar track as far as weight goes, but I'm around 365 with my first big goal being 250. Posts like this are great for inspiration!
