  • My go to is foil dinners. I usually mix some stew meat, carrots, potatoes and onions together, and a little seasoning and a little bit of Italian dressing together. Wrap in foil and cook. You can use chicken, and any vegetables you want. Another foil dinner option is salmon topped with chopped jalapeno and lemon slices. If…
  • I would suggest looking into Leslie Sansone Walk at Home work out DVDs. They are low impact aerobic workouts, but I always feel like I get a good work out in when I do one. I like them because they are easy to follow and I can keep up. They come in various levels of intensity and some of them come with boosters, things…
  • As a beginning runner, especially for your first race, your goal should be about finishing, not about speed. Speed comes in later. If you need to slow down to finish, slow down. Don't push your self too hard, that's when injuries happen. When I did C25K back I repeated a run here or there, but only if I really struggled…
  • I've found that popcorn coated with vanilla almond bark and oreo cookie crumbs is delicious, not very healthy but delicious.
  • bustygirlcomics.com she's got tons of these comics and it's always funny because it's true. I hate my big boobs at times but there's some perks too. hehe
  • Sorry, I can't help but share, these comics always make me laugh.
  • Interesting, I was in CO and I worked there before they had card readers. It would speculate that probably changed policy right there. People quit tipping, so the employees weren't making enough so they had to bump up the wages to make up for it. Anyway, I'm glad your friends daughter makes more than I did when I worked…
  • I feel like I have to chime in here because I worked at sonic while I was in high school. When I started I was paid $5.15/hour. After 4 years there I was the highest paid employee besides the General manager and I only made $6.00. I believe minimum wage in my area was $7.15. We were paid by a company that assumed we got…
  • The first 5K I ever did was in 7th grade and I didn't know how to push my self so it took me 53 minutes. The next year in 8th I grade I ran the same 5k in 35 minutes. Fast forward several years to about 4 years ago when I ran my first 5k as an adult. I didn't really train for it much and I was unusually exhausted (found…
  • Are talking your average peanut butter with all sorts of additives or are you talking natural peanut butter?
  • The question is are you going for healthiest or most delicious? Because Nutella is by far the most delicious, but it is no where near the healthier choice.
  • I grew zucchini in my garden last year and I had tons of it. One morning I made a hash for breakfast. I peeled and diced some zucchini and mixed it in with the diced potatoes, bacon, eggs, and some green onion. We wrapped it up in tortillas with some salsa. The hubby had no idea I add the zucchini.
  • Finding the motivation is hard, especially after working all day. When I'm done for the day, I want to go home, not to the gym. You can easily find ways to become more active at home. You say you watch TV, so start by getting up and walking in placing during commercial breaks. Well, the best advice I can over here is…
  • So if I take a 2 mile walk to the park, which is not part of my everyday routine, I shouldn't count it as exercise because it is walking?
  • Well, I was going to suggest Leslie Sansone, but you've obviously tried that already. But out of curiosity, which of her workouts have you tried. I 've done a bunch of them and I recenlty tried the ones that use the body boost cable and can say they are definiety more intense than many of her other work outs. They of couse…
  • Warm, because I don't enjoy burning my tongue when it's hot.
  • For the love of humanity! Can this thread just roll all ready? Fixed it.
  • Clearly someone has never seen this episode of Sesame Street http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1s2VGJdpaCU
  • It's the holidays, let the kid have a cookie! However because food allergies are a real thing, I do agree that if parents are around you should ask for their permission or parents should let dietary wishes and needs be known upfront. I use to be in charge of the nursery at my church. kids 18 months to 3 years old, which…
  • I always use a teaspoon too, but not for the same reasons. It's because I have a small mouth. (I'm not exaggerating here, The dentist had to remove some of my permanent teeth when I was a kid because there wasn't room for all of my teeth in my mouth.) If I try to use a larger spoon, especially when I eat soup, I usually…
  • I can't say the same about utensils, but drinking water from a glass cup or one of those fancy stainless steel water bottles, yuck. Water has to be in a plastic bottle/cup for me. I prefer to dip my french fries in honey mustard rather than ketchup. Although I don't really know if that is weird or not. My favorite favorite…
  • First of all, I think you look great in that dress already. I kind of go up and down with how serious I am about my weight loss. When I'm going through a good phase and loosing consistently might buy a pair of pants that is a little snug knowing it's going to fit a little bit better, but generally I don't like have clothes…
  • I'm running a 5K on Thanksgiving and I'll count that exercise. I do enough cooking on a normal basis that for me cooking a Thanksgiving dinner isn't really extra activity for me, so I wont count my cooking. However, I say if someone want to log it that's their choice and if it is activity that they don't normally do, why…
  • I hate it when the interwebs don't cooperate. None of these pics are loading for me right now. I'm just getting the stupid little square with an X in the middle. I guess I'll just have to come back later to check out the hot dads.
  • Okay, I don't have any bikini pictures or anything like that so you get a couple of pics of me at the 5Ks I ran this summer. I had baby number 2 last December so I was about 6 months postpartum in the first photo and 8 months postpartum in the 2nd photo, (and below my prepregnancy weight.) Maybe I'll add some better pics…
  • Fixed it, mostly because I wanted to bumb so I can post pics later.
  • You OP are you evil person. There are just somethings in this world that require both, like hamburgers. A hamburger just isn't worth eating unless it has cheese and bacon on it. However, if I could only choose one I would probably pick cheese because I add it to a lot more foods than to which I add bacon.
  • Brown rice takes about twice as long as white rice to cook.
