I used to do this too...save yourself the trouble! It's not necessary...the silk comes off nice and clean when you do the soaking and grilling in the husk method :)
-
If you soak it in water in the husk for an hour before you throw it on the grlll, it doesn't burn. Just trim off any loose leaves and lop off the extra fringy tassel part at the top, soak and put it on the grill on high for just 20 minutes, turning a quarter turn every 5 minutes. Perfect every time!

You were too nice :) I would have had to educate her a little on the subject of calorie intake and exercise! Great job exercising today by the way!

WOW!!! You are incredible! What a huge accomplishment...you should be so proud of yourself!! I am sure all your family and friends are :) Keep up the great work. There is a fantastic new life in store for you at the end of this journey and you are well on your way!! Look at all you have accomplished in just one year!!…

Bless your heart :) So kind of you to provide him with some basic necessities and food. My feeling is that when God puts someone in my path who is in need, it's my job to give what I can to help and it's not my place to question what they do with it. That is between them and God. That's my personal view...

I totally hear you  I have spent the last 10 months trying one thing after another...zig zagging, higher protein, eating my exercise calories, not eating them, not eating anything that resembles "junk", more calories, less calories... to get the scale to budge. It is SO frustrating and I still haven't found anything…
-
Excellent job! You look great...congrats!!
-
Congrats on figuring it out!! Great job. I have a BodyMedia Fit too and LOVE it!! Keep up the great work!
-
I've tried several of the Walden Farms products and threw them away after one bite. YUCK!!
-
Exactly. Doing/saying anything else will just make matters worse.
-
Ditto! Also, try shrimp quesadillas, or steak salads or chicken chili or chicken tacos...

Excellent post....thanks for posting some really great info. I agree with everything but the water...replace that with "liquids" to ensure no dehydration occurs, drink when you are thirsty, try liquids first before eating to make sure you aren't thirsty and mistaking it for hunger and I'm on board 100%! And there's nothing…

   True, and true.

Oh YEAH! It's ridiculous too...even when my 8 year old starts swiping berries off the top of my yogurt, I about flip out! For heaven's sakes, there are more in the fridge and mine are weighed and measured already...get your own!! It's just annoying to me. For some reason, the food on MY plate is infinitely more attractive…
-
Good for you!!! Sorry you had to go through all that though :(
-
Yes, just any diet soda at all and one box of mix...the link to the original thread with recipe is above.

These sound awesome! Thanks!

Okay, if the child was being fed Ho Ho's, Twinkies and Fluff Sandwiches every day as her whole lunch, I could see the school taking notice. But her lunch was perfectly acceptable...probably better than what they replaced it with! Just crazy...

Try Ones Prunes (individually wrapped prunes) or any prunes for that matter. 2-3 before bedtime every nite and you will be regular in a couple of days. Then every other day is fine....

This!!! You haven't been on here that long...why not give yourself a chance to lose the weight the natural way. MFP is awesome. I know people who have done both of those surgeries and all of them wish that they hadn't. There are SO many complications...it is not worth it! Talk to lots and lots of people who have done it…

Thank you all for your kind comments. Yes, I turned 50 in January. That was a big one for me. I had hoped to be at my goal, but I have Hashimotos so the going is very slow. Thank you all again for being so sweet :flowerforyou: I love MFP!!!

That is hilarious!! I don't blame you for being mad :)

I was just thinking about this....my weekly "must haves" are: Chobani Pineapple or Mango yogurt *Large container of Plain Fage 0% Fresh Berries-one or several kinds Apples Kashi Regular Go-Lean (not crunch) Cereal (for adding to Fage...super high protein) Green Giant Healthy Weight veggie mix (frozen) *Eat Great, Look…

Well said!!!

My thoughts exactly! Doing this, you may even find that you lose *more* than a pound a week. Give it a try!!

I believe in moderation (for me :)...I don't drink alcohol though because I think it's a complete waste of calories. I luckily have never had a problem with binging and I love that I can have a taste of something or splurge once in a while when I have the calories to "spend" and not feel guilty about it!
