cottage cheese is so versatile
have a syn free quiche with any veg u like
plain with beans on a jack pot
mixed with sweet things to make desserts and cheese cakes
just on its own with pepper
i love it with cheesecake and also as a quiche x0 -
Some of these recipes are genius. I must try them.0

On top of baked potato in place of sour cream
In scrambled eggs to make them extra fluffy
In lasagna instead of ricotta cheese0 -
I cut up chives (as much or as little as you would like) and use it as a dip for veggies or chips!0
-
I just put any kind of Mrs. Dash spice onto it and mix it up really well. LOVE it that, way. Great way to get protein with lots of taste and no extra sodium.0

I love eating plain cottage cheese with vegges or fruits. Occasionally I make Lasagna substituting cottage cheese for Ricotta cheese.0

With a stick blender, I process equal parts cottage cheese and plain Greek yogurt. I add Splenda, ice, coconut extract and banana. Soooo goooood! It's my colada!0
-
I put sugar free strawberry preserves, sugar free pudding mix, casein, or peanut butter in it. I've never used it for recipes. Sweet potato and cottage cheese is good too.0

put a smidgen of cayenne in those eggs and enjoy...0

Mix 500g pot with 2 beaten eggs and the kind of vegetable you like suitable for a quiche, onions, mushrooms, peppers.
Then add to a flan dish and pop in the oven at about 180' for 25 mins or until just turning golden on top. Great warm for a meal or cold as snacks, should make 4 decent portions or 6 snack.
Really low cal overall.
excuse my ignorance and no doubt i'll show it plain and clear now :P but 180 is that us or uk?0 -
I'd assume it was in Celsius (UK) as it would be too low of a temp to be Fahrenheit (US). The conversions would be 180C, 350F or gas mark 4, which is a moderate temp.0

I love cottage cheese, but I've NEVER thought of it with a baked potato. SOUNDS GREAT! I'm going to try it. :happy:0

I like orange fluff.
1 pk. sugar free orange jello
1 pk. sugar free vanilla pudding
1 can crushed pineapples (drained well)
1 can mandarin oranges (drained well)
1 pint fatfree cottage cheese
1 tub cool-whip
I don't know the calories per serving though I haven't made sence starting here but you just made me think of it , "THANKS"
Oh, and if it was reg cottage I would eat 1/2 cup with buttered (lightly) toast, but it is hard to find good cottage cheese any more like I like .0 -

I find this needs a little more salt and garlic than the recipe calls for, but it's still really good...

I like it plain ... otherwise i like having it with a bakes potatoe and mixing it. Idk why but it tastes so good then just through in green beans and a piece of chicken and u have a delicious meal
( chicken cooked in the crock pot in chicken broth is amazing )0 -
I love cottage cheese plain. Sadly, a half cup has so much sodium it is a rarer treat for me than eating something loaded with sugars or fats. A half cup is not much cottage cheese, it is a small serving; but that comes with almost 600mg of sodium.0

Throw in tuna right from the can, some brocolli and carrots.
Now your talkin!0 -
I make something I call chocage cheese. Basically I put some cottage cheese in a bowl. Add cocoa powder. Add a packet of sweetener. Mix it like crazy. Mouthgasm.
1/2 cup CC
1/4 cup almond milk
1 Tbsp cocoa powder
1/4 pkg FF/SF pudding, any flavour works great (mmmmm cheesecake...)
70g frozen blueberries or 1 cup of fresh fruit, to your liking
Freeze for 15-30 minutes.
For extra volume, you can add 1/2 cup of plain yogurt, or top with some cereal, nuts, granola or whatever you like. If I have a lot of fats left for the day I top with natural PB.
Delish!
Other uses....
Protein Brownies:
Protein pancakes:
Also great on salad with fresh salsa, nutritional yeast and some balsamic vinegar. Yum! :bigsmile:0 -
Just had some for my dinner. I like the one with pineapple in. I had it on my Jacket potato with salad.
Sometimes have it on Rivitas for lunch too. Low calorie and high in protein.0 -
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 banana
3 egg whites
vanilla
cinnamon
put it in a blender, mix and pour onto a hot lightly sprayed pan or griddle
flip when there are bubbles
makes about 3 pancakes
I like mine with jam or fresh fruit!
I HAVE to try this!0 -
I like to add some powdered sugar free jell-o to it, maybe add some manderine oranges and/or pineapple, nuts. And if you want even smoother add some cool-whip mixed in with it. very refreshing.0
