  • I'm definately in for another challenge! Could I get an invite when it's decided?
  • This is my new favorite thread!
  • I can't understand why people are always looking for a certain food group or even particular food to blame. "BLANK makes you fat" Want to know what makes you fat? YOU DO! Make the right food choices and stop being a glutton and you won't be fat...eat what you want, just control yourself!
  • It's important to take all your macro's into consideration...sometimes this can be tricky! When I try to get in more protein, I usually go over in sodium...etc It takes lot's of trial and error and experimenting to find out what does and doesn't work for you P.S. I have had several days the past few months where I have…
  • Any more room? I'd love to do this! I need to keep myself motivated!
  • I can't understand why you aren't working for the 5 hours a day that you have free....wouldn't that be much more productive then sitting around feeling sorry for yourself? What "reason" would your dad have for you not to be working during these times? I fear this is a situation of a "rebelling teenager". When I was young…
  • MFP gives almost the exact same amount of calories burned that the treadmill and elliptical do. The closest you can get to exact is to get a HRM but if you are worried about eating back exercise calories try just eating back half.
  • I agree, enjoy yourself THOROUGHLY. You are on vaction. Clear your mind and enjoy your food, enjoy your drinks, enjoy your family. You can start again when you get back home :)
  • Thank you for that...my info is indeed very wrong. Also, I agree that some people are naturally on the low end of their weight class but this is asking about our goal weights and I assume that most of us posting are not that lucky. I was not trying to "body shame". My concern, after reading through the posts is why people…
  • It's a shame so many other people can't, or won't, understand that. [/quote] I believe that we have all been through this in some way or another. My vice is wine. I can never just have a glass. When I drink it, I binge. Drink a bottle or even 2 then eat food that I shouldn't. Do I still do that now that I want to lose…
  • A healthy BMI for someone who is 5'8 is between 140-150 lbs...anything less than that is medically considered underweight and I personally think too skinny and not attractive. We as woman were not made to look like stick figures. Why do we not want to have curves? My eventual goal is to be 160 but I would be happy as high…
  • You are missing it so much that you actually started a forum thread about it. What people don't realize is that when they cut out things they love completely that they are setting themselves up to fail. There is no reason that you can't treat yourself to a can of coke a few times a week. If you have a great calorie deficit…
  • There are a ton of different kinds of teas...also, there are several low calorie flavored creamers that provide enough sweetness along with creaminess...I use a sugar free hazelnut and sugar free french vanilla creamer (the chilled kind, not powder although that may be an option too)...it is only 15 calories per…
  • I second this... Also, I think "starvation mode" is a crock...bariatric patients that have weight loss surgery are unable to eat 1200 calories for months or possibly years...hence the reason they LOSE WEIGHT I have had a hard time eating 1200 calories for the past 2 months but I have an appetite suppressant to jump start…
  • You only went over by 166 calories? Bravo! My last cheat day I went over by a good 1,500 calories. I still lost that week. As long as your deficit during the week is good, you won't hurt yourself by going over....especially by so little There is definately no reason to feel guilty. You deserve to indulge once in a while.…
  • Popcorn!! Most people use microwave popcorn and if you get the right kind (low fat, very little butter) you can have A TON with very little calories! I just had an entire bag...filled my belly for 40 calories! They also have a ton of 0 calorie popcorn flavoring (mostly powder)....I hadn't had popcorn in a while and once I…
  • I'm interested...I like group challenges
  • Its the little things that count....I try to do 1-3 mins of jumping jacks as soon as I get out of the bed in the morning and also right before I lay down at night. It may not seem like much but it is something that even people with the busiest of schedules can accomplish!
  • I am a 25 year old mommy of 2...I simply stopped taking care of myself because I was so focused on taking care of my kids. I am more determined than ever to lose because I realized that its important for me to be healthy in order to care for them. I am 5'7 and currently weigh 234 lbs. My MFP goal is set to 185 but my…
  • I am also new and would like to have some support and be able to connect with other peoples success and hardships...how can we link up?
