Cheat day...

today was my first cheat day since I started my "lifestyle change" on January 1. I'm went to outback for dinner and went over my 1200 calorie diet by 166 in calories and over in fat by 38 and over in protein by 36.
What should I expect to see on the scale in the morning and how do I get rid of my guilt?

You only went over by 166 calories? Bravo! My last cheat day I went over by a good 1,500 calories. I still lost that week. As long as your deficit during the week is good, you won't hurt yourself by going over....especially by so little
There is definately no reason to feel guilty. You deserve to indulge once in a while. Don't feel bad...just start again tomorrow
P.S. I'm on a 1,200 a day plan also...I go over in protein often...I don't really believe that too much protein is a bad thing...helps me from losing so much muscle while i'm losing weight0 -
Don't worry about the scale on a daily basis. Your weight can fluctuate by 2-5 lbs daily. Weigh yourself weekly. If you only went over by 166 calories (That's hardly a cheat day), then your weight should still be down on your next weekly weigh-in0

Agree forget the scale tomorrow. And really 166 calories is nothing. That's why I don't do cheat days. Just work what I want into my daily allowance regularly. Or make healthier alternatives. Eg mixing plain greek yoghurt with fibre mix and protein powder and leaving it in the fridge for a little bit, and then adding fresh berries is just like having cheesecake.

Do keep in mind though, that because most restaurants use a lot of salt, you may see a small temporary gain due to high sodium causing water retention. It's not fat.0 -
I had my treatdays on saturday and sunday... and every weekend i do, still losing bodyfat slowly, I dont feel guilty as a matter of fact i applaud myself coz i know i deserve it after religously following and hitting my macros for 5 days, unless you are competing treatmeal, treatmeals or treatdays is beneficial to gain sanity back and recharge you for the next week to come. goodluck and get yourself a FROYO... lol0

Like stated above, 166 calories over is nothing. Don't feel guilty. Get back to your norm and keep at it0

Today was my first cheat day, it's been about a month since I've committed to better living. I wasn't too terribly naughty, I'm just going to continue tomorrow as usual. I figure one day a month won't kill me.0
