I'm a member of the very same club. I've changed my approach this time (slightly) because I feel it will be more sustainable in the long run. Better to notice now and be doing something about it. Well done for coming back and not letting it get the better of you :)

Wow. You look amazing. Well done!

Friend request sent :) I'm 28 too and from Sydney.

I don't live in Vancouver anymore... Just wanted to mention The Naam on W4th Kits. Awesome vegetarian... Also - Foundation had good food. The service went through a phase where it was so bad we never went back but hopefully that's over now :) Enjoy!

***BUMP*** Thank so much. Awesome post :)

A few of my favourite (super easy) snacks... 1. Half an avocado with some balsamic vinegar 2. Hard (or soft) boiled egg on toast 3. Watermelon, basil and cinnamon (new summer favourite) 4. Healthy mix plate - chop some raw vegies, cheese and fruit 5. Bake a low fat banan cake using applesauce instead of oil. Cut it into…

I agree with those saying you need to be patient. As long as you know you're doing the right thing, it will happen. Just to cover your bases though I would check the scales as SteveK279 said. I have heard this from others. Also... Make sure you're drinking plenty of water and weighing yourself at the same time of day. It…

- Applesauce instead of oil in baking (Makes great banana bread!) - 1 ingredient banana ice cream - Avocado instead of butter on toast

This ^^ I think most people who log cleaning etc tend to vastly overestimate calories. If that's what works for you though then do it :) (oopps - ^^this was in response to winnervictorious)

Vegetable Quesadillas (one of my favourites)

Personally I dont log anything I consider as regular activity. For me to log exercise I need to be doing specific exercise. Cleaning, gardening etc is just life.
-
My favourite is incredibly simple... Olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Much easier to control exactly what is in it and how much you have when you make it yourself.

Hi Everyone Feel free to add me. I'm back to logging after a big holiday/Christmas break. More friends, more ideas and more sharing :) Cheers, Alicia

Personally I would just try to balance it out. If you have a breakfast that is particularly heavy on the carbs then don't have lots of carbs for dinner. I used to think I needed to eliminate carbs but I love pasta. I lose while eating it but I wouldn't have it for 2 meals a day. Everything in moderation for me :)

I worked on cruise ships for a few years so I'm familiar with the food dilemma. My first year I gained weight, then I came to my senses and stopped with the unhealthy choices. For me it was all about: - Drink lots of water. - Portion control. You're on vacation so I think indulging a little is good but balancing that and…

You guys look amazing! I'm so impressed by how much of a difference weight training made. Just goes to show it's not all about the number on the scales.

BUMP :)

For me it was all vanity. I knew I was gaining weight but wasn't ready to do anything about it. I started pulling myself out of a massive slump I had been in and finally decided to weigh myself. I couldn't even get upset because I knew how it happened. That same night I was trying a really great online shopping site and…

I'm a clinical hypnotherapist and I think hypnotherapy for weight loss for most people isn't the solution. The reason for this is that more often than not, expectations are out of line with the reality of the process. Hypnotherapy is an excellent tool for anxiety, stress, phobias, self confidence and more but it isn't a…

Love, love, love Zumba! Such a fun workout. It's the only workout I do that is actually really fun. Would love to hear from any fellow Sydney Zumba fans... :)

I'm obsessed with Quinoa. One of the most versatile foods available. I have posted this a couple of times but like Quinoa Corporation on Facebook for some great ideas. My all time favourite Quinoa recipe is Honey Coconut Quinoa with Pomegranite... http://edenkitchen.com/honey-coconut-quinoa-with-pomegranate/ Also love it…

I have 'treat' days occasionally. It's usually a day that I'm going out for dinner. Yesterday I really wanted to bake so I had treat day and I log it to keep me accountable (and just for my records). I love to bake and it's great having homemade treats because they are particularly delicious and you know exactly what is in…

I agree with you. I'm interested in people who are supportive and want support themselves. Quality over quantity all the way! I log in daily and really enjoy seeing what my MFP's are accomplishing. Friend request on the way :)

We are all different and we lose weight in different ways. Maybe experiment with eating back the calories (or some of them) and see how you go. Personally I am on 1200 a day, I workout most days and rarely eat back my calories (maybe once or twice a week). I am steadily losing weight at about 1kg a week... That's just me :)

I seriously love Quinoa and it is amazingly healthy... This is my favourite recipe and I love having it for breakfast (make a few serves, keep in the fridge and heat up). Honey Coconut Quinoa with Pomegranate (I use whatever fruit I have available - usually apples)…

I know it's cliché but time really does heal. In the meantime it sucks waiting so I would suggest: 1. Wake up, shower and smile (no matter how forced) and tell yourself it's going to be a great day. 2. Remove him from any and all social media (no FB stalking) 3. Exercise 4. Take group classes (something you're interested…

Don't beat yourself up over it. Remember how disappointed you feel now and move forward. Going for a walk and thinking about your lifestyle and how you want to live never hurts either.
