  • Do you have a recommendation on potassium supplements? I'm finding potassium iodide and potassium gluconate. Thanks!
  • Hello! I'm Crystal and am in the research phase right now, so I'm trying to read everything I can and get this started in the next week. Carbs are my downfall and it has been so easy to go over my calorie goal. This way of eating is basically how my mom raised me before Atkins and low carb was the fad. Not looking forward…
  • Use this recipe! It's the one I use and they turn out perfectly every time.
  • Frozen margarita :) Seriously though, I like spinach, a little kale, half an apple, some frozen strawberries, cucumber and some chia seeds.
  • Soda, just not worth it any more. I could use the calories on salty carbs instead
  • It's going to take some trying to figure out what works for you. You will probably go over your calorie goal before you get the hang of what really keeps you full and fits in your daily goal. Read labels, weigh things, and eat what you like in moderation. But do periodically try things you don't like again, your tastes…
  • I stopped drinking my weekly caramel macchiatos and switched to cappucinos with 1% and no added sugar.
  • For me, homemade smoothies are worth it because I can control how much fruit goes into them, and I get a good dose of veggies quickly.
  • English cucumbers (find they are not so bitter), radishes and jicama.
  • 1600, losing about a lb a week. Trying to get some blood work under control.
  • YES! This is me. I was going too long between eating and that was leading to my binges at night. My husband usually works later than I do and I would binge before eating dinner. I have started having something every 4-5 hours, and have a small snack before I leave work. Like others have said, it is not easy but you can…
  • Oh! And I forgot, I am going to try a copy cat recipe for the Starbucks sous vide egg bites this weekend. Cross your fingers it turns out tasty!
  • I love mine! I was hesitant about buying one but I ended up borrowing one first. I have made chicken stock, butternut squash soup, corn bisque and we did corn on the cob with a two minute cook time last night.
  • You can always double up on recipes, we do this with fajitas which happen to go in our eggs cups the next day
  • What about leftovers from dinner? All you would need to do is heat them up. Also, egg muffin cups are amazing and you can make ahead and freeze.
  • Most of the time it is some sort of grilled or roasted chicken that has been cubed for easy eating, a sauce to keep it flavorful, some berries, a vegetable and some sort of crunchy salty carb. Today it was grilled chicken breast with my homemade wing sauce (tomato paste and a whole bunch of hot sauce), blackberries,…
  • I love making chicken stock in mine. Every time I roast a chicken I make stock the next day. Tastes so much better than store bought, and it freezes well so you can have some ready for a quick sauce or soup.
  • Agreed, lots of chicken! I will grill some with just salt, pepper and garlic powder and use different sauces during the week so I don't get bored. We will do steak once in a while too, but that's hard for me since I like it medium rare.
  • Sometimes you just have to ballpark it. I'm going to a local bar tonight and I just have to eyeball the greens and grilled chicken on my salad. Most of the time you can find something similar in the database. You won't be able to have 100% accuracy all of the time, because a cook can be heavy handed with ingredients.
  • I love my Anchor Hocking stuff, and you can get it on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_3_14?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=anchor+hocking+glass+storage+containers+with+lids&sprefix=anchor+hocking%2Caps%2C275&crid=O5T04B659NLF&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Aanchor+hocking+glass+storage+containers+with+lids
  • Right? Does a milkshake count as a smoothie?
  • I love this one:…
  • Does any of your existing medication cause low blood pressure? I take Aldactone and I have to spread out my dose. I accidentally took them too close together on Sunday and was dizzy on Monday.
  • Is it possible that you are getting fewer calories than you think you are? If you are tracking, has there been a pattern in what you eat the day before you have a dizzy spell?
  • Did you just start reducing calories? Are you on any new medications?
  • Piggy backing on the fat free bandwagon, remember the Olestra chips from the 90's?
  • The first day of kindergarten I was served this awful pizza that was swimming in grease that I refused to eat. So every day until I reached middle school I would get a bologna and mustard sandwich. Sides would be some kind of chips or crackers and fruit and some sort of 80's single serve sugar water to drink (I'm looking…
  • The only snack I have is about 4pm every day before I leave for work. This helps the binging issues I had after I got home since my husband worked later. My RD has me eating about 150 cal of carbs+protein. This week I have been doing half a serving of sea salt and pepper rice crackers, one regular Babybel and a single…
  • Breakfast: Green smoothie and two mini crust less quiches with Turkey sausage, egg and cheese Lunch: Aidell's Italian meatballs, butter lettuce, blackberries and blueberries Dinner: Pasta with mushroom marinara Snacks: Strawberry applesauce, maybe a banana with some homemade ganache drizzled over later. We will see how…
  • This one is going to be a tough one to get exact. I would just drain the amount you want in a colander until they are no longer dripping, and then use them. You can even measure 1.25 or 1.5 servings if you want to over estimate slightly. The ones I've had were packed in olive oil and that was a nice addition to my salad.
