  • April 1 - 3 Mile Run, 1 Mile Walk, April 2 - 1 Mile Run, 1.5 Mile Walk I had to make a new ticker, because I couldn't figure out how to update the original one... I'm confused, but I'll get it :)
  • I am new, but I want in. I've never actually tracked my mileage like this :)
  • I need to make these TONIGHT, as I have several dying bananas on my counter... Thanks for sharing!
  • I can relate - I am a teacher so summer vacation and working out is different than working out during the school year. Sometimes at the end of the summer I'm excited to go back to work, because I know that it will provide more of an opportunity for a routine. Sometimes sitting at home all summer provides too many…
  • I've been running on the treadmill. I know I need to get outside and run, but I'm definitely not a morning person. Also when I do exercise in the evening my legs are restless when I go to sleep. Although sometimes its just the trick and I pass out... To beat the 'dread' of the treadmill, I always change up the settings. I…
  • Moderation! I am a huge coffee fan, always black, and only one cup in the morning. For Christmas my fiancee and I are loaded with bags and bags of coffee from our relatives. However, because I'm insane, I stopped drinking coffee for the summer so that I can help get my teeth whiter before my wedding. The only reason that I…
  • Bump for motivation and inspiration!!! Amazing and beautiful ladies!
  • I am September 29th also! I need to get my butt in gear!!! I'd like to lose 10 pounds before my next fitting in August! Feel free to add me :)
  • I'm doing it!!! Thought about started a thread, but I knew somebody else out there probably already had. Yay :)
  • bump... I was just about to ask the same question!!!
  • Sometimes I don't love to run WHILE I'm running, but when I set out to run X miles and then I finish, that sense of accomplishment is phenomenal. Other times I am the crazy girl, loving running WHILE I'm running, with the stupid grin on her face. I almost, and sometimes do, lol at myself cause I think I'm ridiculous, then…
  • Not sure how to link to this, but if you go to runnersworld.com, then to video --> injury prevention --> IT Band Relief Yoga I really enjoy that sequence. I started using it when I was feeling what I call "manageable" pain and it helped tremendously. I don't know how effective it might be if you're experiencing more pain…

Weight loss/inches lost this week: None.. probably a gain, but I will find out how much tomorrow 2. Highlight of the past week: (not weight, just something exciting that happened): This past month I've had so many…

  • I'm not sure about the math, but I know for me, walking/running on LOOSE sand is a lot more challenging. If I am on wet sand, it doesn't seem to be as challenging. Sooooo count me in, I'd like to know too :)
  • I started to realize that after I came home and also, the friend I borrowed it from is a bit taller than me, so could have affected its accuracy also... maybe?? I dont know. All I know is I am positive I ran the whole course and my time was so much better than I had expected!! I am just psyched though because when I…
  • I just answered on of my own questions... there was no pausing of the watch, as my watch time and the "gun" time were pretty close to the same. Now I'm just going to wait on my chip time... WOO! I was so disoriented by the 5.89 that I wasn't thinking clearly... Now I can be happy :)
  • I'm reading the owner's manual now. First mistake encountered: The arrow on the foot pod "must be pointed toward the toe of your shoe" Ahh, Fail #1! Victory!! New PR!
  • bump! thats exactly what I need! I map my runs (mapmyrun.com) out to figure out my mileage, but I don't know my pace until I complete the miles... and by then its too late!!
  • I need to incorporate hills, but there are none where I live. So time to conquer some incline running on the treadmill! Thanks for sharing!
  • I experience the same thing... I just try to shift my feet and that seems to help. Sometimes I change the angles of my feet from my toes being straight to slightly outward. I'm curious to see what others have to say!
  • I agree about the life style thing, for sure. But I can see where logging forever would be frustrating. I know that for me, when I reach my goal, I will probably need/want to stay around and make sure that I maintain. That being said, I know that when I went out of town for a wedding and had no way to log in my food, I…
  • Aww... I havent watched that episode yet! And I love Courtney!! I love watching the biggest loser, but we have to remember that their weightloss isn't realistic. They are working out and focusing thier entire life on weight loss, which is something us normal "Losers" don't have the luxury of. Even though I know all this, I…
  • Eating nuts is really helpful for me. I have them as an afternoon snack. They really help with the calories. Actually, when I first joined I had a problem with keeping my calories under 1200 on non workout days because of this. For sodium, what I do is buy Boar's Head Lower Sodium Turkey... Other brands have a TON of…
  • My friend and I were both just talking about the same thing! Usually we weigh in on Fridays and then we all seem to celebrate or weightloss with food!! Its crazy. Although I am like you, I try to keep it relatively healthy, just, a bit more than I would have during the week. I also try to workout more during the weekend…
  • I usually use the Hodgson Mill Whole Wheat Buttermilk Pancake Mix. I have not had any since joining MFP, but I really do enjoy them every once in a while. I think where we all go wrong is with toppings! Butter and syrup are probably not as good as some sort of fruit topping. I just have never taken the time to figure out…
