Use a Polar Heart Rate Monitor, Polar F11 is my favorite, dance, lift weights, run, bike, whatever type of activity, and sustain it for a long time. Honestly I think you'd be better off relying on reducing calories to burning 1000 cals a day. Easier and whatnot.

Good foods in bulk are very cheap. In regards to weight loss, counting 400 calories in a cookie or 400 calories in fresh veggies/fruit/protein are exactly the same things when it's all said and done.

YUP, sorry, starvation mode is a poo poo lie. It's actually cheaper to shop at Trader Joes than Albertsons in my opinion. Healthier food at Trader Joes. They do accept food program cards also.

Corn tortillas are 50 calories for a whole tortilla, if you spray a lil non-stick stuff to a pan and put it in the oven or lightly on the stove, it will harden a bit. 50 calories worth of corn tortilla turned into chips goes a long way. ^_^

I'm not sure why you've completely cut it out of your diet, but I don't deny myself of any food that makes me feel happy. I just eat wayy less of it. Eat a marshmallow or something?

Sorry that I can't give you the proof you need, it literally doesn't matter what you eat for your calories to lose weight. There are tons of people who are living proof that it doesn't matter. As long as you're at a deficit in the correct amounts, you will lose weight.

When I initially lost over 100 lbs with diet and exercise, I had 5 lbs of skin hanging off my tummy. It gave me rashes and made life harder. Even some people who use marijuana daily do not suffer slower metabolism, they can still lose weight. The only difference is, alcohol a lot of calories and you will have to diet/exercise to make up for them. So if you're just having extra calories, maybe its not the metabolism.

Losing it before will teach you proper eating habits and how to work out and make your body the healthiest as possible before you become pregnant. It's much easier to lose after if you've lost before. Much harder to get the whole thing going.
