I have been following low carb, moderate protein, high healthy fats way of eating. I started at 322lb 10 weeks ago, I have lost 43lb since then down to 279lb. I keep my total Carbs under 40g most days. I started doing this for medical reasons but am pleased it has enabled me to lose weight too. Yes it still requires a…

Just in case you are still tempted. I tried Xenical years ago. I was warned not to eat fat while on it so was very careful not to. I was not warned that every single thing that I ate would go right through me in liquid form. After a couple of weeks on it i was semi incontinent so stopped taking it. Thankfully i recovered…

80lb to go to get under 200lb so next year sometime.

Nuts do not agree with me. won't kill me or anything just give me stomach upset. I still eat a few from time to time because I am daft sometimes. I think i like cashews best them macadamia, then Brazil. I do not like pecan nuts. Almonds are ok without skins but i do not like the skin on them because it has a nasty bitter…

Yes been on diet yoyo for 23 years solid. 23 years of learning the many things that do not work. I hope with all my being that what is working for me now carries on working for me. I believe anyone can find freedom from the yoyo dieting if keep trying new solutions for long enough. I hope the band works out for you in…

I am diagnosed with binge eating disorder though I alternated between bingeing and eating nothing. On my worst binge day i could total up to 15'000 - 20'000 :embarassed: . I would get heart palpitations and be very out of breath from over eating so much, i would wake up with hot sweats, I was many times unsure if I would…

I have had same problem all my life, constant insatiable cravings. That is how I got to 322lb and why i piled weight back on every time i lost it. Fighting the relentless cravings, I just always got worn down and gave in eventually which then only made the craving worse. For the first time in my life I no longer have…

I do not think i have ever had a thigh gap and doubt i ever will as am very pear shaped. At 5' 8" and 322lb walking a mile wearing leggings caused me to wear a hole though leggings and for skin to be bleeding  That is seriously excessive thigh rubbing force. Leggings are not meant to be a daily disposable item of…

I look every morning out of curiosity but i only take weekly result seriously as I can fluctuate up to 6lb depending on time of month and fluid variations etc. If sticking to my deficit though i always lose or stay same from week to week so far.

I am 43 down another 120-140 to go. I log in every day and am very determined.

When i lived on a very tight budget i lived on frozen meat and veg, Big bag of whole grain rice goes a long way as do oats. I got into cooking and made a lot of things from basic ingredients. I used to enjoy baking and could control what went in everything. Tinned beans or even soak and cook from dried, same with lentils,…

Very well done on 111lb lost. Low carbing is proving a life saver for me too. The relief from the constant insatiable cravings feels like a miracle having lived with it my whole life. Low carb lets me enjoy my food in a healthy way. It is so easy to eat healthy amount when not ravenously hungry all the time.

I agree with this. I chose low carb for medical reasons. I found after sticking to it strictly for a week all real strong cravings went away. I then chose to give myself a couple of months sticking to low carb before adding in occasional high carb meals. I think telling myself that I can have high carb foods stops me…

Keto lifestyle is great. I know not everyone does this but after 10 weeks and 43lb down I went for a meal out with friends Sunday lunch and had a full roast dinner and cheesecake pudding without worrying about macros. I was a little worried it would set off cravings because higher carb treats always have in past on any…

Fantastic job, well done :flowerforyou: Ps. You look great. Took me a minute to work out why you look so familiar to me. You remind me of Actor Bruce Willis. It is the eyes and smile.

I saw that "fat sick and nearly dead" documentary film last year and was inspired to go get a juicer. I stocked up on organic veg and apples. I liked the juice but 5 days in I got thrush and cystitis at the same time and then stopped. I later thought maybe it was just a coincidence so I tried it again and same thing…

Hello, looks like you are off to a great start. I have been doing this 10 weeks and so far really happy with results. I might add in tracking fiber colum to diary to make it easy to track net carbs if you increase carbs a bit at some point but your carbs are so low now that it is not an issue for now.
-
Really happy for you :flowerforyou:

Very inspiring post :flowerforyou:

Well done on the great loss  Looking foward to being able to fit back in my jeans one day. I have lost a 5-gallon bottle of water and an IPad so far.
